Seems like no one love the s8. I'm looking to get something nice comfortable and fast. Came across the s8 on car guru and 2013-2015 with 50-100k miles only like 25k. For 520 hp? I just take this to a tuner and try to bullet proof it? Sounds like it can't get more perfect.

How does it affect fuel economy when driving normally round town please? Does it change eco mode? I can get 40mpg from my 540i Xdrive if i try - 25 driving normally. No mods yet.

How well does the DCT handle big turbos? What part goes first?

The Arteon has always been unique, spacious and luxurious. But it wasn’t very quick, however with the changes made for 2022 it got MUCH faster! Essentially a MK8 R. Tuning numbers are amazing too.

Awesome stuff man. I have a 2016 s7 stage 1 APR and I didn’t change the oil screen. Put 30k miles on the car but haven’t driven it too hard. Am I screwed lol?

I bought a 2019 A6 C8 in october of 23. Stock until recently. Stage 1 93 ECU tune from APR for about 2 months now. Car runs great for me. Has some oomph for a luxury sedan. Only thing I’m disappointed in is the lack of aftermarket support for the car. I feel like I can’t even find headlights for the car.

I sprung for a new MK8 R at MSRP. Super happy about my decision! I didn’t feel comfortable spending the same amount of money on an RS3 with 50k miles knowing how they are driven. Also I don’t think I could afford to fix an RS3 if it were to break outside of warranty. 😬

Intersting, I have the 2019 A8 with the same engine but their 8 sp transmission which is a lot more sturdy. I've been looking at getting the APR stage 1 tune and haven't heard much in the negative area for the A8L. Ii wonder if it is due to the different gearbox.

Sounds like a drone. How bad is it at 75 mph? Does it work with Audi S3 dynamic modes so it's not as loud when just commuting to work.

I have the A6 C8 2.0 Premium Plus. Bought at 8k now at 38,900k. Bought it for a daily driver and gas efficiency which saves me an average of $200 a month gas savings. I do 70k commute daily mostly highways. No issues so far. I do 5k oil change intervals. 5k I do it myself and 10th k dealer part of a maintenance plan. I turn off the on and off feature. Lots of comments in the forum about alternator going bad which they suspect from the frequent auto on/off engagement.

I got a recall notice on my 2017 a8 4.0tt turbo screens. Other people should have too. Pay to have them Replace the pcv valve in that process. I didnt do that and 5k miles after recall job, my pcv valve needs replacement and its a $2k job

I have a 21 a6 c8 3.0t prestige 58k miles I drive it pretty rough sport mode daily and always on dynamic mode… I’ve had 1 issue with the instrument cluster about 2,000 miles ago and that’s it

Coming from a 2018 rs3 i can tell you that i can't afford to go back (as much as i love the platform), like mentioned in this video the DAZA is limited to only the RS3 (USA) as of 2024. My Daza engine failed on stage 2e (bent rod) and i spent 20k to bring her back stronger than before thanks to the IROZ team. Daza engines don't like anything north of 500ish wtq. Performance parts for the RS3 are also more expensive and harder to DIY as mentioned in this video. While you don't need to "build the trans" on the RS3 you do need a beefier flywheel and beef up some of the internal trans parts that are plastic with metal (piping). Resale on the RS3 is better for sure. And there were plenty of failed stage 2e engines at IROZ when i went in for mine, from different tuners too. A lot of it is kept secret specially if they are getting financial help from the tuner. My mistake was to go from stage 1e to stage 2e. stage 1e is the limit imo specially at sea level. Even VacityAudi on YT had his engine pop too. i was watching a comparison video of the b58 vs the 2JZ and i was so impressed that i went sold my car and got a 340i. good luck and hope this helps with anyone stuck on the fence between both these cars.

Same thing happened to my RS3 a last Thursday. I was hit and run on the freeway. Car is currently at the repair shop. A suv hit my passenger side and it affected every damn panel lol. Front fender, side passenger doors, and rear fender and my carbon fiber side mirror is gone

When I was looking for a RS3 , used wise . None in the US had warranties ( 18-20 Daza) and 5-6k higher than a low mileage B58 . No regrets even tho that nasty 5 pot is sweeeeeeet .

I have a 21 Arteon and love it. Now just shy of 400hp with APR tune and basically FBO. Intercooler, intake, turbo inlet pipes, turbo muffler delete etc etc... Never seen a check engine light and it's more enjoyable to drive now. I can count on one hand how many I've seen in nearly 3 years of ownership. It breaks necks and I get compliments all the time. Also, it's not "Very slow to shift" it's just not as fast as a DSG or a ZF (which are lightning fast) AND THATS OK. The Arteon is not a performance car. If I wanted to go faster I'd of bought a BMW from the get go. I wanted something unique and different.

I have a 2019 r-line and actually had to work on it to for the first time it was revving 200 grand down to 700 and back up repeatedly I ran the scanner ant it said air intake so I looked it over and the torque bolts were backed almost all the way out I tightened everything up and the intake tube still has slack and check engine light is back and the car is still revving I scan it and it says still air intake tube so tomorrow i am going deeper to see if the tub got damaged some how but i like the car my wife loves it but for me at 6'1 200 lbs it's like all the other cars today to low i love my Silverado
