Was watching it live from India, and it was franzkly awesome to watch. Great grounds, full house and most importantly, brilliant analysis and commentary. Contrast to the rubbish that we see in India-Hazy pictures, pathetic commentary(Rohan gavaskar, akash chopra, manjrekar ROFL) and gambling ads every 5 mins, and unbearable hype! And the worst-corrupt politicians hogging the limelight.

Ben Stokes is a lot like Rohit Sharma as both asked their team to bat aggressively and fearlessly (Stokes in tests and Rohit in t20is before T20 world cup last year) without caring about result and more importantly giving security to players that they won't be dropped after a few failures but they are not lead from the front kind of captains and this approach has not suited them individually but the team has/had done well.

Next WTC should be held outside of the UK.
The Umpires - specially the 3rd Umpire have to be truly neutral, unlike the last WTC 2023.
Hopefully - the subcontinent which has more attendance, will be able to host the Finals.
If BCCI has to use the muscle and money, they should. England Hosted the ODI world cups. Unless all teams still want to be obligated and stay colonial.

No one 'says lords'(sic) except every (non-English) cricketer that I've ever spoken to: Farokh Engineer, Sir Clive Lloyd, Sir Vivian Richards, Wasim Akram, Greg Matthews...
I'm not in the least bothered about the place, personally. On the very rare occasions that I've watched Middlesex 'at home' it's been at Uxbridge or Southgate.
I think most English people - certainly from The North - prefer to watch test matches at Edgbaston, really. But for my Aussie, Kiwi, Indian and Pakistani colleagues and acquaintances it's always Lords, Lords, bleedin' Lords...
The 'myth', as you so appropriately put it, is more of a 'foreign' construct than an English one.
Best wishes, no matter the content of your response, or lack of it.
