It's clear they all loved Shane and so did all cricket fans everywhere. They almost mention him like they hope he'll be on again soon to give his opinion 😢 I follow and watch alot of sport in the UK and beyond and ive never heard a sportsman so revered in his passing ....99.9% of us never met him but we all feel his passing.....not many people in life can have that impact ... continue to rest peacefully Shane 💛💚

Ricky is just an outstanding addition to the commentary team. The guy who nobody outside Oz liked has become a hugely admired pundit. Great to see.

I don't know why people outside Australia didn't like him, you wouldn't meet a more honest and decent person. He would also back his team to the hilt. The fact that he wouldn't take a backward step is probably why some people didn't like him, some people get a bit fussed if it's not what they want to hear.

    I'm not a cricket fan - don't ask why I've watched this.
    But this makes me jealous.
There are sports I follow which should be ashamed of themselves for not spending time looking at the importance of technique. Yes, I know there was no play today, but the fact that a major broadcaster is willing to spend time and money on a piece like this is amazing. You can argue that Cricket lends itself more to technical analysis than some other sports, but I've never been convinced by that argument. You have former elite cricketers being positive about children's play, there are informative comments about technique, there is discussion/argument about the right age for children to try certain things. There are references to boys and girls playing without any sneering.
    It's very impressive.

You don't need former international players to dissect the technique of a toddler. Get them to analyse techniques of club batsmen. That will be more useful for the viewers and more compelling viewing.

@@nightwatchman7482 It's far more beneficial for the game to encourage young people to play and watch than it is catering for adults. If the sport were as popular as football and young kids are guaranteed to be playing it in droves regardless, then I'd agree.

Yep it's a very negative part of test cricket that a test match can be rained off resulting in a draw. They should change the game so that it can be continued. Unsatisfying and it happens to every team sooner or later.

@@allbies lol that’s why there are five matches in the series to give the best chance possible for someone to win the series. You are obviously new to cricket but draws are part of test matches. England have avoid defeat so many times in the past due to rain and they never complained before

The rule would still apply to England if they changed the game after this series so what kind of logic are you using? 'Draws are part of test matches', well done you've identified my main issue with the test match format.
