Yeah i don't like izzy but his strategy was similar he baited him into thinking he was hurt but had his eyes wide open the whole time and waited on more shot before Alex started to throw the left hook and izzy, threw that viscous straight right that Alex was not expecting and i don't think he even seen it coming at all. You nailed the "problem" with ufc fighters switching to boxing! There is something called muscle memory, and when you train your entire career to fight mma guys where you HAVE to be ready to defend the take down.....then you get in the ring for a boxing match and people say " but he KNEW he wasnt in an mma fight" which is correct but your body is going to react how you have trained it.

This takes me back the video you made on how Boxers punch different, and the power they can generate just because of the perfect form in their punches. It was clear Francis has never seen that kind of power before.

Joshua spent 2 minutes downloading information (or a lack thereof) and then realised that Ngannou wasn't ready and he shouldn't have been in there in the first place. There is a language that boxers speak to one another in the ring and he wasn't getting any response from Ngannou. That told AJ everything he needed to know.
AJ had him figured out watching the fight with Tyson and Francis came with the same tactics, it was a wash.
He was getting the responses he wanted from ngannou where as a boxer possibly would give him the same responses eventually (If your not usyk) later down the line like in round 8 or 9 when fatigue and damage accumulate.
The look on his face after that first knocke down broke him. That was a look of realization that heavyweight boxers hit just as hard as he does and are faster

AJ definitively was prepared but I don't think you can say that Fury didn't take the fight seriously, it's just that he's a bit slower than AJ with a bit less one punch KO power and that seems to be what Ngannou struggled with here against AJ. I might also be that Ngannou was a bit too confident going into the fight after his better than expected showing against Fury.

One thing I've notice about Joshua is that he is quite intelligent. He understands the science behind boxing et prepare for his opponent weaknesses. He always improved since he started. This was an easy puzzle to solve for he and his team compared to Usyk.

AJ was disciplined and took the fight seriously. He wanted to make a statement and he did it in a spectacular way. Ben is doing well with AJ and I am very happy about it. He brought Tyson from where he was and now bringing AJ back up. Wishing Ben nothing but the best. However, a fight between AJ and Tyson would be interesting. Just because Tyson didn't do well vs Francis should not be a grading point for what Tyson can do.
