  • Anapana is the first step in the practice of Vipassana meditation. Anapana means observation of natural, normal respiration, as it comes in and as it goes out. It is an easy to learn, objective and scientific technique that helps develop concentration of the mind.
    Anapana provides a tool to deal with the fears, anxieties and pressures across all age groups. Besides helping to calm and concentrate the mind, Anapana help people to understand themselves better and gives them an insight into the workings of their own minds.     Thank you blue monk. I m not in India and i did vipassana course 10nyears ago. I do not have recorded sessions audio as they stopped providing audio cassettes for practice . I had no means to practice . But now i found this i am so so happy. Thank you. I have re started the aana pana . I was wondering do you also have first 3 days of vipasana ,where they provide proper instructions in the beginning in hindi if possible. Due to the fact my course was in hindi my mind responds to it nicely. I need the first 3 days group sitting for vipasana. Or even first day as thats the starting point for instructions and ita really important

      Here it means those who can sit for longer duration of time without break with minimum change in positions as possible.

      @@bluemonk251 when we sit for a longer period satipatthan happens. Which is the process of knowing things as they are. We loose ego.
