  • THE NULLARBOR!!! What else do we need to say??!! We were fretting, how were we going to tackle 1400+km from Ceduna to Norseman... with 2 young kids (one ASD, ADHD!)????
    We are a full time traveling family, towing our Maverick Viper 13 Caravan with our trusty 4x4 Triton; we are fully self-sufficient to off-grid camp.
    This road trip actually turned out awesome! We had the best time, yes it took us way longer than anyone else, but we found the most amazing campsites. Some way off the beaten track. Some with horrible corrugations, but all worth it.
    Follow along on our journey, how we manage travel with 2 young kids and the campsites we find.
    Please say hi, and let us know about your travels.
    PS If you don't want to publicly comment re kids, feel free to message on Instagram privately if you want to discuss anything travel with ASD kids, happy to have a chat. IG @margieandtim

    Doing it right I reckon, so many people just zip along the Nullarbor. Doesn't matter how long it takes. Looks like you're having a great trip, cheers

      We've seen so many more sights with the kids than what we probably would have seen if just Tim and I drove it, been fantastic stopping and exploring everything :) cheers

    We’ve been watching your content for a few weeks now and really enjoying it. We live at Port Augusta and looking at doing the same spots on the Eyre Peninsula you have been. It’s been super helpful.
    Just another 3-4 weeks before we get our hybrid caravan. Can’t wait.
    Thanks for all you do.

    2.00 pm - 100kms to go - not sure if you're going to make it before night fall?? Hope that was meant to be a joke! Yes, the Nullarbor is an amazing stretch of landscape with more to see than most people think. Enjoy the veggies before hitting the border!!

    Another great video! How cool are the windmills where you stopped!! Stunning views overlooking the cliffs! Eeek that track at the end is tiiiiiight!! We travelled once after tea with the kids asleep when we needed to go a longer distance & knew that the views wouldn't be that great! Your kids are doing great with the travels! We found that our 3 kids gradually adjusted to spending more time in the car travelling. Looking forward to the next installment & what happened with the storm! We had a few of them around that time here. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

    Well done for the extra subscribers since I last saw ya, 😂. Was wondering, when u stay in towns etc, where do you put your caravan? Do you stay at a campsite or something? Cheers

    • @margieandtim
      @margieandtim  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hey thanks!! :) we try to avoid towns where possible, but otherwise the cheapest possible! Overflow showgrounds have been good in the busier places, otherwise wikicamps low cost camps within 20kms of a town is also what we've found works well. Not too keen on leaving the van in a free side of the road camp site just in case - feels better when you have a camp host there for the $15/night. We generally do smaller quiet towns to fill water/dump etc and shop local. Thanks for watching, any questions please ask :)

      @NumanAir not necessarily, depends on the weight of your van and overall combined weight. Were going to do a chat video in the next week or 2 and talk about what we've found that's good re triton, but just check your figures with the weights. :)
