Asmons statment about not everyone needing to have children is true but we are at a record low for birth rates and it doesnt look like it will go up in the next years expecially with that. and birth rate is pretty importend for the well being of every society

Personally I have the same mindset as you do, if there was a way to just flat out halt all simping, even if it is to simply destroy this particular market on OF, if OF were to just stop working indefinitely, first there would be massive uproar from the woman and probably a few men too, that currently use it to make ALL of their income. But after that though, assuming another site doing the exact same thing isnt made to replace it. That would significantly help in recovery on both sides. The simps would hopefully start doing somehting else (doubtful) and the people making their living will eventually, after all their money dwindles away assuming they are even the slightest bit responsible for themselves, would start doing something else. (Also doubtful) But who knows. Unless legally things change and there are strict laws that are ABSOLUTELY enforced nothing will change.

Asmon has some crappy opinions on divorced fathers maybe that stems from his own upbringing seeing as his mother seems to have played a bigger role in his life. That being said as a divorced father who did treat his woman like a queen, provided for her, supported her and her family. Its pretty insulting when he says you should not take advice from someone divorced like me when the reality is I treated my ex wife the exact way he described he would treat a woman that he would marry, and that scenario left me cheated on, all my belongings stolen, and dragged through court having to pay 40K in attorney fees just to win the cases so my child wouldn't be taken from me. Not trying to vent but asmond should definitely talk to divorced people before he throws them under the buss. Sometimes you do everything correct and the world still screws you.

I've actually used a lot of these AI chatbots, the more advanced ones that can do NSFW relationships and pretend to be your favorite characters, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that if I had access to those as a teen I would have been utterly ruined to the point where I wouldn't have even cared about human interaction, let alone romance. We're about to see a generation of full-on technophiles who have no clue how to act around people.

Why you talk as if it was bad? We are all completely dependant on technology already. Don't say you'd be able to survive indefinitely if you were dropped in an unhabited island right now. Only one more dependance on technology won't kill anyone.
If anything, it will highly improve quality of life because if we get to point we can fully rely on technology, we won't need to interact with humans so it makes no difference if we know or know not how to interact with each other. The problem is that it takes a decade for men to be attractive partners. And that decade may feel to them like they can never get one. So there is a risk that men who would otherwise be motivated to do good so that they can get a girlfriend will instead just let go and be satisfied with an AI one instead. And so far we have no data how lasting the satisfaction of a relationship with an artificial human is. But we do have data on how stable societies are which are not monogamous. And those numbers look bad. But then again in societies where polygamy is the norm, the majority of men who don't get a wife are frustrated. Perhaps the AI can solve that problem and we will build a successful polygamous society with the help of AI. I doubt it but it is possible.
I've personally been caught up in the 'giving up on women' category after my ex. At 28 years old I honestly thought she was the best thing on this earth and wanted to marry her - all for the relationship to end in psychological manipulation, lies, cheating, etc. How could this amazing person also do these terrible things? Whatever, it's water under the bridge now.
Point being: I can see the appeal for those of us who have been through hurtful relationships. I'm scared I'll never find a women who can just be peaceful and a decent person. Am I going to stop pursuing? Yes i do agree. We live in a society of today , where being misogynist turned around and now is misandrie. Woman are just as power- and influence-motivated then men. As well as there are people watching from the sidelines who are appreciative of this going on ,since it takes away awareness of other crucial points in our society , that would really need attention.
A smile from family , friends , neighbours and even colleagues can have such a tremendous impact on our days and well being. Instead of going at each others throats , we should be reaching out. We need to understand , that someone not being nice to us , should be something we can handle. Also the way we react can set an example.

Because first of all you tried, that took courage, 2nd you now have clarity and you can focus your attention elsewhere and 3rd but not least when you have the choice between do i try or do i not , it is the choice between no and yes or no. The rest are either hurt from previous relationships or in a bad one. If people turn to AI for companionship we just wonder how sad and lonely shit has become. I'm a 36 year old factory worker I live with my parents. Im single with no kids and I have ZERO friends. Not having friends is a much bigger issue for me than not having a girlfriend or wife..I don't want a gf or wife. I have no issue pursuing women or finding one I just am not interested. I really hate having no friends though and it is impossible to find any at my age.
Try doing martial arts. I got to know a lot of people training and there is a camaderie of everyone getting better together. Sports clubs are also the same, but I am not sure how easy is to find a group (assuming US, here in Brazil is easy to find a team to play soccer for example).
you should start a hobby like the other person said. It can be a martial art, the gym, acting classes, tabletop roleplaying or whateverelse. Just something to meet other people who have similar interests

You need to remember that the one initiating a divorce/breakup isn't necessarily the one responsible for the relationship not working out.
Women are more likely to leave broken/harmful marriages. Men are significantly less likely to leave, even if the relationship is in a state where any sane person would do so, unless they already have a new partner. Multiple studies have shown that the average guy gets about 1 like a week on dating apps, while the lowest of the low tier women get 1 like a day. So it is incredibly easy to just give up when things like height and looks are out of your control and you can spend dozens of hours trying to get a date and failing.

Dating apps is just not a good place for people to look for something genuine, people just use it for validation. I think a guy that is social and meets people in person has a much higher chance of finding someone.

It might just come down to economics. The “buy in” price for a girlfriend nowadays is the 6 figures, 6 pack, 6 foot trope. Are guys gonna just lay down and die? We’re out of good girls but we’re not out of options let’s go robo gf. Women will be fine sharing the same 1% of guys who don’t care about them.
I work a lot and I feel like it's awkward these days to let a woman I work with know that I'd like to be in a relationship with her. I work so in different states that having a girlfriend in my hometown would still be a long distance relationship. My whole idea of a relationship for me is being with a woman (I'm a 36 year old man) that we both enjoy each other's company and can do nothing or anything together and have fun doing it because the whole point was to find that one human who can stand your farts. I might try an AI gf for fun though lol. Sounds like a cool casual game.
A big reason men aren't seeking relationships is because a ton of them watched their fathers, or their peer's fathers, get destroyed in divorce. For many men, that was their first look in relationships, and nobody wants to talk about it. I don’t personally know any *ncels, but I know a lot of men who aren’t even interested in dating or marriage coming out of high school who still hold those views.
When I look at my parents' generation and my peers I saw a grand total of 3 seemingly healthy long term relationships. Literally every single member of my quite extended family did at least divorce once. And from those 3 mentioned relationships all of them seem extremely tiring for the men and one of them just crumbled to dust because she cheated on him. Yeah, I think I'm good.

Some guys have real valid legal concerns about risk. Some guys are women haters. Some are incels. Some are being screwed by how social media has effected society. And so on and so forth.
But people like to group all these men together and dismiss them.
$100 bucks on the Government passing laws restricting AI from acting as girlfriends and from replacing certain vulnerable jobs. They are going to ignore how no fault divorce and social media/dating were the root cause of where we are at now. God forbid they also pass bachelors taxes too.
Married couples already pay a combined tax, at least in Canada. It is actually better to remain unmarried and keep your relationship on the down-low up here. Hell, common law can result in all your assets being halved. Why? Because no-fault laws! Fuck fairness.
In the US married couples get tons more benefits than singles, complete opposite. @@BobNinjaCat

issue is with the "don't have babies with them and raised them" is that, wupti doo, alot of women dumps the guy the moment they find "the next best thing", who wanna invest time, money, & energy into something that just up's and leaves them for a percieved "upgrade" and ruins them financially in the process, that said, the reason i am single as of now, is for a couple of reasons, 1 being, i've been scorned 1 too many times, via being cheated on, some of them probably my fault cuz i went into relationships in my mid to late 20's with the anticipation that, inevitably she will cheat on me, another reason is that, i don't have a driver's licence, and i live out in the boonies, soooo, 3rd, i can't take care of myself properly atm, if i can't take care of myself, how the fuck am i supossed to take care of a gf/fiance/wife, and children in the future?, that is just irresponsible, and lastly 4th, as eluded to in the first reason, i have alot of resentment, so before i jump into another relationship, i have to face my demons and get rid of them, then and only then will i feel comfortable in persuing a relationship
edit: in cases where someone gives advice in a failed subject, it really fucking depends, do they give advice on what NOT to do?, or on WHAT to do, take that 400 pound doctor for instance, if he says "start exercising, i didn't, see where that got me" and such, then you better fucking listen, or an advice from a 40 yr old single dad, if he says "do not put your foot down every time over every little thing like, what curtains and such, pick and choose your battles, or you'll end up like me" the crux is, it's a "do as i say, not as i did"
