Simplest way as you have taught us.....K.I.S.S. aka ‘Keep It Simple Sister’. xx
You look classy, elegant, and beautiful no matter what you wear.
Thanks for another great video. A reminder that we are still attractive over 50 in a world where we're told we have hit THE WALL!
Beautiful outfits. I'd probably add my grandma's strand of pearls because I think she would have loved that.
Marie-Anne, thank you for reminding us how elegant an all black outfit is. As a “winter” I love black, but often feel I need to add more color. But, not so. My mom, who IMO was one of the most elegantly dressed women I’ve ever known often wore a black bottom and top. Then paired it with a blazer\jacket in a color. Her favorite was white and black.
Your flowers are blooming.
I think you look best in the following beautiful jackets a) your older black one with the black sheer ruffles b) your black Chanel jacket c) your new white Chanel jacket. They are also all timeless. I believe in classic wardrobes that can be worn for years.
Chic, stylish, and elegant. I'm a winter so this video serves as a great guide for creating elegant looks.
Simple est toujours élégant, surtout en noir et blanc.
Je suis parfaitement d'accord.
How beautiful and elegant Marie Anne! I absolutely loved the black pants with special detailing at the bottom.😍
Thank you Marie-Anne, I'd forgotten the most basic rule in creating an outfit "simplicity"! I've just returned from a celebratory lunch, I "shopped my closet" and wore a black v neck 3/4 sleeve top with a smart straight leg trousers, complete with a light jacket (the jacket had a green, white and black print), and my ballet flats (heels are a no go for me these days). I did a front tuck of my top with a nice black leather belt. The jacket helped hide my large tummy, ( I've lost 3 stone in weight with another 1.5st to go) I completed my ensemble with my black & gold wrist watch, a simple gold chain and yes my pearls !!!! On went my sunglasses, my black handbag and I went out feeling confident, smart and elegant. Excellent video and thanks once again for the prompt ❤
Marie-Anne, Loved this video and saved it so I can copy your outfits.
Went out this week to a restaurant owned by an old friend I haven’t seen in awhile. Happened to wear a black v neck sweater, black pants, black boots with gold and silver thread in heel area, simple alpaca raspberry cape with black greek key pattern trim. She immediately sat at our table and said I love your outfit. I now realize it fit your Classy formula. Now, you’ve given me even more ideas to use what I already own! PS: Last year I purchased your lilysilk black and white polka dot scarf. Hello Spring🌷
Your black monochrome outfit with the gray coat is so chic. The black leather gloves are a great touch.
The slacks with the sheer pleated inserts are so unique. Brilliant.
xo~linda
Absolutely glowing skin....beautiful. Everything looks great on you.
Classic elegance at its best. Stunning looks.
I love these ideas. It looks so effortless and stylish, yet a lot of thought goes into this.
I love how simplified you made this, "don't make it complicated"...which is what I tend to do, or even over-do. Lovely lovely outfits, top to bottom!!
Bonjour, Marie-Anne. I was about to drop a comment on how I don't like CLASSY dressing when I saw the outfi with the CHANEL jacket. I was floored! And while I'm a great fan of prints, and am learning that classy can be fun when we play with textures. Merci beaucoup 😘😘
Everything you wear, you're so classy & elegant.
That Grey jacket is perfect
Marie Anne I just adore all these outfits, and the background of your magnificent home makes the picture complete!
Marie-Anne, the outfit with the grey coat is stunning. You look so cool and hip but yet classy. Yes, monochrome is the way to go when you want a classic look. Thank you so much.
Love the square belt, too.
As I watch your very informative videos, I am always struck by one elusive element, that, to my knowledge, you have not mentioned. You have excellent and outstanding posture and carriage which can almost transform any outfit to a new level. It is a trait that catapults the subconscious into admiration. Many thanks for these key elements to assist in elegance!
Beautiful, classy outfit ideas with a beautiful backdrop! You're the best teacher!
Just so lovely , Marie ~ Anne. I must say that the ensemble, with the Grey Coat, Leather gloves and boots... THAT was so classic, classy and magnifique! The ensemble with the white Blazer, also so classy .
So simple, these beautiful ensembles... and yet can take a woman anywhere, day or evening. Again, you don't disappoint! 🙂👏🏻💜💯 xx
I love the ivory jacket you are wearing! I also love the idea of shopping my closet for different ‘looks’. I’ve been losing weight since last November and have reached my goal. I’ve been watching your videos and have my black and navy pants, skirts, sweaters, black ballet flats, Mary Jane flats, ankle boots, and for fun a pair of red pointy toed flats.I’ve chosen red as my first color as I add pieces to my wardrobe in my new sizes. I love creating a new look just by switching one piece or adding a scarf. Thank you for simple guidelines to find my own style and to build my wardrobe.
You look absolutely stunning! I particularly love those black trousers with the elegant touch at the bottom. Thank you for sharing!
I can't thank you enough for your advice. I've just been away for four days and followed your advice to create several different monochrome outfits.. All smart and classy but best of all I only took a carry on bag. It was the easiest packing I've ever done.
Simple things mean a lot.
Absolutely beautiful outfits, Marie-Anne. They're all timeless and elegant. Merci beaucoup. :)
Yes. Simply elegant.

Marianne, you are the best teacher.🤗😘
I love the black and grey outfit though I am biased since those are my two base wardrobe colours. The monochrome look is especially good for statement jewelry: I am particularly fond of amber as I find it adds a touch of warmth. For a cooler look, I like moonstones. The leather gloves are very chic; I had splurged on a burgundy pair [my favourite accent colour] but I see how all black is more elegant. As always, you show how simpler is always better. It looks like you are about to drive off in a sleek sports car.
love, love all of them! Merci beaucoup.
Tres belle!!! I love the scarf and the all black outfit with the grey overcoat.
Love the black and grey.
Marie-Anne, all the outfits are beautiful, chic and classy. The icing on the top for this video is the background… 😍😍. Is that a rose tree?…. Stunning tree. Thanks again.
I think it’s a Camellia
Thanks Caroline, I checked and it certainly looks like a Camellia.
These outfits look gorgeous, Marie-Anne! I’m only 23 years old but I’m in love with the dressing tips from your channel. I’ve learnt a lot about how to dress better and how French women dress, which, I have to say, is something that I want to aim at, as I find it so versatile yet elegant at the same time. I’m tired of looking frumpy and unfortunately, I find most people have given up on dressing up for whatever reason, at least that’s the case where I currently live (Ontario, Canada). Keep up the great work!
Great to see young people who want to look elegant! Thumbs up for you 😊 🙌
@@herecomesthesun21 Thank you. I’ve only started to care more about elegant style since late last year. Inspiration for what to wear had been everywhere but I was mostly lost before I found Marie-Anne’s channel. The trendy styles of most young people, be it regular folks or social media influencers, are either too grungy or too vulgar for my taste. I used to look at those styles in awe and attempted to emulate them without the basic understanding of body shapes and silhouettes, then couldn’t stop but wondering why my appearance is downgraded. I just thought it was my weight, but after learning more about style, I recognized the importance of dressing for my body shape, a pleasant silhouette, fabric cuts and materials. I will start saving more money to buy more from higher quality mid-range brands and steer clear of spontaneous fast-fashion purchases as much as possible. I also find that when clothes are too affordable, they may not have high quality and I tend to purchase them without thinking as much as I should, resulting in a cluttered closet devoid of classic pieces - pieces that, before I was introduced to Marie-Anne’s channel, I had no idea were classic to begin with. I really think that my generation needs more know-it-all mothers who would give us guidance on basic dressing etiquettes in our adulting journeys. 😂
@@Hypocriticaltown sounds like you have already come far in understanding style and you have very good insights! You will go to great places in your style journey 😊. Yes, guiding older generations would be great, but luckily we have youtube and Marie-Anne.
I am in my forties and never had style guidance either when I was young. I have always loved beautiful clothes, but only last summer I started to really take myself seriously in this matter and started to really teach myself about style, silhouttes, right colors etc. besides just doing it instictively and not nearly always getting it right. I agree people generally buy far too many bad-quality clothes (I have done it too), because they don't really know what suits them or how to invest in quality clothes. I am hoping in the future to act/ work as a style guide for women who are interested, my age or why not also younger, if they are interested in more then trends, like you.
Have a great spring time!
@@herecomesthesun21 Indeed! Learning how to dress beautifully can take a lot of time and effort, from the learning stage to hunting for suitable pieces to saving money for high-quality items that last. It certainly doesn’t come naturally for most people. That’s perhaps one of the reasons why so many people nowadays are confused when it comes to styling and merely decide to follow trends in an effort to simplify things, not realizing this approach gives the opposite effect to their wardrobe. I hope you will have a chance to share your knowledge with other women and girls in helping them develop their personal taste when it comes to styling. Enjoy your spring!
@@Hypocriticaltown thank you! 😊🌸
Loving both of those black trousers - quality!
Dear Marie-Anne,
You are the epitome of elegance inside and out; what a gorgeous French Chic lady you are! Thank you for these timeless tips on looking classy. It's reassuring to know that I am usually attired in a monochromatic outfit each day--and elevating it with a differed hued blazer or shoes/boots.
I would also like to thank you for responding to your viewers' posts; you are always right on top of that, and it makes a world of difference. Everyone loves to be recognized, valued, and appreciated, and you do this with all of the posts. I was recently watching a channel of a woman who gives tips on attire, but she rarely responds to viewers' comments. This does not make me feel as though it is a community or that she values our posts, so I will not be returning to her channel--not matter how much I like the content.
Natalia
Arizona
Natalia, totally agreed. Maire Anne values viewer's posts and respond most diligently. With more subscribers, it might get harder to keep up to respond to every one. But even if just respond to the ones with comments that interest the influencer, it still makes viewers feel valued and heard. The other thing I like Marie Anne about is that she is very consistent, release content on time and sometimes more than planned. It attracts viewers back . Some you tubers have good content, but they release videos randomly. Sometimes they disappear for weeks without any explanation. That gives me the impression that they either don't care about the channel too much, or lack of discipline.
@@littlelady7843
Yes, Little Lady, Ms. Lecouer treats her channel as her professional job, and she takes it seriously, dedicating much research, time, effort, and energy into her productions, as well as thoughtful responses to viewers. People are grateful for exceptional customer service, and Ms. Lecoeur's comments--a form of customer service--are rapid, respectful, helpful, and always gracious. Yes, you are right: her productions are consistent, and we know that we can count on Mr. Lecouer to deliver new, high-value content on a timely basis: we, therefore, remain loyal viewers. On the other hand, those who treat their channels as hobbies quickly lose viewers.
Love how the monochrome base of most of the outfits contrasts with lighter outerlayer; thinking of throwing a black and white outfit together this Sunday. Bisous ❤🙏👗
Classic is classy, always. Beautiful choices.
I love the classic French way of dressing: never too much, but just enough (of elegance, interest, accessories, jewelery etc.) That is not easy to master but when you do, it looks so beautiful!
Just lately I realized what bothers me in most of the fashion pictures I see today: there is just too much of everything. Too much different things, shapes, colors, too much accesories. Looks like a messy christmas tree to me 😊. There seems to lack a sense of harmony and balance in the outfits, like people lost their sense of those things...?
But simple, harmonious colors & cuts to your body & personality, with just the right touch of "sparkle", that is truely art and rarely seen! Thank you Marie-Anne for teaching it 🙏.
I can't say i can master it yet, but I'm learning and trying!
Love all of your choices 💕, but #3 is my favourite! Actually, they are so beautiful and different. Thank you for another lovely inspiration.
Love, love, love black💚
Elegant and classy as always!! Love the suggestions!! I have never worn monochrome before, but I think I will try it!!😘
Bonjour and merci Marie-Anne! You are always right on spot and your videos are great! =) It is so nice to watch them and to listen to your advices.
Kisses from a French lady.
Salue, Marie-Anne! Everything is tip-top, but my heart was stollen by your genial camille. That must have more than 50 years. This is one of my favorite flowers.
So easy but chic` and clasic. Great video 🌹🌹
Wow wow wow and you're looking incredible Marie Anne... All of these outfits are headturners. Love Paula in uk xxx
Lovely outfits Marie-Anne.... I have been trying out this monochrome look with my grey coat and my camel coat and I am liking this look very much on me...simple but stylish.
Many thanks and God bless.
Gillyx
Very chic. I noticed the absence of jewellery and hats. So, I'm guessing that less is more and simple colour contrast creates the effect.
Just love all your tips… classic clean simple…😘
You always have such great tips. I’ve been taking some of your advice and my dear friend said that I’ve been looking so great lately. Thank you so much.
I love your scarf in outfit #2….and the beautiful pink rose bush. Delightful content. You look super smart. ;)
Love your 4th black top. Thanks for the tips!
I am learning so much from your videos
What a great idea! Can't wait to try it. Than you so much Marie-Anne.
Beautifully done, and so easily put together. Thank you Marie-Anne, have a great weekend.
My kind of classy style! Maybe because I'm European and in my country we follow Italian & French fashion mostly Italian! But I like to dress classy! Gives me a feel good factor! Thanks. Going to subscribe as I love your fashion sense! Good day.
Marie-Anne ! You gave me so chick ideas about belts and scarf. Thanks! I love it!
Bonjour Marie-Anne! I enjoy watching your videos on dressing classy and elegant! I adore the monochrome look. It truly is elevated!! Thank you for this!! Take good care!!
Great video!!! You are elegant and classy. I love your expressions!!!!!! Greetings from Arizona.
Thank you. Less is always more. Very classy.
Would you consider a video for working from home and looking casual but still stylish for our online Teams meetings please?
Hello Marie Anne. This was great. Thank you.
Everything so classy!!Thanks for sharing!
I love both of your channels
I ordered my first pair of linen pants! I'm looking forward to styling them!
Love Your Channel!
Best Regards

A MasterClass of French Chic, absolutely sophisticated. Merci.
Very nice outfits! I love the idea and the results. Congratulations!
I monochrome Navy for my outfits, I also monochrome dark red outfits matching the shift dress with cardigan and shoes , using navy jeans or black jeans, I do wear a little black but I add colour to them because black is not the best colour for my skin, navy is the best colour for my skin, I am a summer tone, navy and dark blue red are fantastic for making my face look good , my mother and my 2 sisters had our colours done and we all suit different colours, we were all different seasons, my mum was winter because she had black hair and suited black and white, and my sisters were spring and autumn, and it reflects in the colours that they like to wear, we all wear different colours that suite us, it helps to know which colours look good on you when you shop for clothes , It can save you a lot of money by not buying the wrong colours, thanks to you, I have a wardrobe that I like to wear now ! and I have some stunning outfits now for going out . thank you from New Zealand, take care and I wish you and your family good health ! xxxx.
Lovely presentation! Very helpful in providing practical options. Thank you, Marie-Anne!
Bon soir Marie-Anne, what amazing and great looks! A motivation to check my wardrobe, trying to form such a style. By the way, the roses in look No.5 are so beautiful 🤩
The stone house looks pretty awesome, too.
You put the outfits together beautifully. Thank you for sharing.
Simple, classy, elegant, perfect outfits! You are my style soulmate, Marie-Anne. Bisous from Portugal
I love these outfits.
I loved all of the outfits.I love your videos.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 after watching your lovely videos, I purchased 2 new X-Large square, classy scarves. Looking now for acceptably-styled trousers. 😉
Thank you! Black is my favorite clothing color but I never thought to wear all black (unless it’s a dress.) I also love coats, jackets, etc. but don’t get to wear them often because I live in a very warm climate. Please show a few tips for warm-weather styling.
Love your very cheerful confidence, love the simplicity of your style and no apologies for staying classically classic.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful 😻. That’s all I can say. Simple and easy. Bravo 👏
I adore the first outfit. Thank you for showing pearl earrings. They go with everything
All beautiful - but Outfit #3 blew my socks off - mais oui!
Keeping it simple is such good advice. I love black and wear it often. Classy and elegant does not have to be expensive. I loved this video.
As always! A fantastic video!
Wonderful and doable tips. Thank you
Hi Marie-Anne. This video was right up my street. Wonderful items indeed, the lace top and the white blazer looks stunning togethher. As you know i´m a skirt lad but i really love the trousers. I got the pumps and the lace top is on my shopping list. My tip is to keep it simple and "clean" not to much and pearls offcourse. Thanks Madame for all the inspirations. Love
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Good point. But in my case i´m tall hihi but i know what you mean madame. Love
Beautiful sharing friend 🙏
Yes! To be elegant inside and out 🙂
I like your sense of style and find your videos interesting. I can see you're good at visual things. I hope you would make a video about architecture and art too. I would like to hear your opinion about modern architecture and art compared to the past. Often fashion, art and architecture are related. :)
Very Nice Marie-Anne you just know how to put clothes together. 😊
Bonjour Marie-Anne, watching this video, I realised I was wearing black jeans and a black top, so I’ve just spent almost an hour styling them up from my wardrobe. I really enjoyed myself. Thank you so much for the inspiration x
Love this!! I adore monochrome and wearing all black with unique accessories to pull it all together. Simply stunning presentation.
Very good advice! 👍
Gorgeous Madame. I've had this penchant for navy and white lately. The evening outfit is stunning!
Thank you!
Thank You, Marie-Anne! You are gorgeous! I follow You for a while, and I find You the very best style CZcamsr! Merci!
I love your videos so much!❤
Wonderful! I really love wearing black and these ideas are great for refreshing my outfits using what I have. I love the boots in outfit three❤️❤️❤️
I have been going for monochrome bases too, and still fall back upon. But inspired by you, I have given up wearing leggings and witched to jeans/skirts again:)
Such beautiful outfits! So elegant and chic!!
Love it!❣️
