  • This video shares some of the stories around my first exposure to the mace. What brought me to this art and how did it evolve? Did I learn everything in India? Or did I travel to India to document? What keeps me going? All of these things I discuss in this video and I hope you learn something from it. It has been an amazing journey so far and I'm excited to see where it will go!

I never would have heard of maces, indian clubs, etc, if it wasn't for you. You've made it accessible. Thank you.

Also a dutch gada swinger. I started swinging in 2016 so you were not the only dutch person who was swinging clubs back in the day. I have never trained with a teacher or did certificatons. Back in the day I also saw the flow video's from Leo, but I like traditional swinging more. The video's from Paul Taras helped me a lot and loved his Indian travels (I traveled to India in 2004 and 2010, also Varanasi, but at that time I did not know gada swinging sadly). It has been a great journey teaching the swings and will be even better in the future.

Love your work! I was introduced to the mace by the Shoulderok and the powerlifting community. When I found your flows I realized there was so much more and started buying Onnit maces and learning more than the 10 and 2 and 360 swings. Your content is awesome and thank you for sharing your journey! You deserve all your success!

I think you've looked at the big picture, you've studied with the right people and then synthesized all the information beautifully. Now you are a producer, congratulations and you should feel proud. Your pursuit of self improvement shines through and that is the most important thing.
Ive only just begun my journey but looking forward to training with you one day.

I wonder if you've seen Mark Wildman's mace youtube playlist? And your thoughts if you have.

To be honest I have not, he started to create those videos after I had decided not to watch other coaches and their content any more. I needed full focus on my own creativity to figure out how what the underlying system for the mace was. I have finalised and completed that journey now, so I'll probably watch some of them in the future. He is an amazing coach from what I've seen from his kettlebell work!

Because I'm new to this I'm unsure where to start. Indian club, steel club, mace? I'm currently using kettlebells.
