For me, when I watch this, it's a very visceral memory of those kind of clubs. The smell of years of spilled beer in the carpets, the taste of the cheap vinegar or tomatoe sauce they would serve with the food. The faces of people now gone.

Years later after watching Phoenix Nights on TV(and I do get the DVD's out too) since watching the Black Bin Bag episode every time I go shopping and I need Black bin bags that tune is right out in front, I even sing it under my breath, infact everytime someone mentions Black bin bags its there, The tune is always " Coming in my ears. "

4:35 I remember watching the Gary Glitter segment the first time not knowing who he was and still finding the segment utterly hilarious. Now, knowing the full context, it's even funnier. Definitely a testament to Kay's writing.
