When ZLO lost that second (loaded) nuke launcher I almost got a stomach ache! Very entertaining game!
You know, I never thought that I could get so into watching a video game like a sports game.
And then I found you, Gyle.
And in 2015, no less. When I bought Supreme Commander on a Steam sale, I figured that I would enjoy this game in solitude mostly, maybe if I got good enough I could play with a few people from a small forum.
Holy hell, did I not expect FAF, or anything like your casts.
You know, I never quite appreciated how big this game can get until I watched this cast.
The low level I'm playing at now, one Experimental or nuke is completely and utterly game ending. Honestly, there where like 3 times where I was like "This game is over, he's (this was both players, mind you. I was rooting for Zlo most of the time. And I thought when Patchy got out the 1st experimental bomber he was going to win right there.) got this in the bag"
Related to that, the economy advantage probably decided the game. Especially because Patchy could churn out those T4 units near the end there.
But damn, you got yourself a new subscriber!
i was nuking back t3 mexes + 2 t3 pgens... pachuriko had antinukein base...
also i should have made couple of megas instead of scatis D: , and make a proper base somewhere :(

I think the Mega would have been well used in the southern pond to push Pachuriko out and allow the destroyers go move across.
Was hoping/expecting to see at least one of you build up the 'air base' position, at least for primary energy/air production, to keep that critical piece of infrastructure out of immediate danger.
vWP though. My spinal cord would have strangled me to death rather than allow my brain to try and deal with so much shit going on.
Peanutsreveng3 Yeah, I thought ZLO should have tried to compete on air control too... Pachuriko absolutely destroyed him with those exp bombers, which are fairly easily countered by air if you have enough of it. I've noticed that the longer a game goes on, the less likely that Zlo is to win... Late game he seems to focus too much on harassment and not enough on eco.. Just my thoughts, but yeah I completely agree, I suck compared to ZLO so this is just my noob point of view.
compete more on one level means giving up on any other. It's really hard to know that balance at the time and once the ass washer showed up that was game over for getting sufficient ASFs to compete. But yes, from our perspective of omnipotence, clearly the balance wasn't right :)
***** One thing I feel could've made a huge difference is if, instead of moving that very first ML off to the side to kill off that army of units, you had just gone straight into his base and then maybe gone back for the army. As is, it gave him way too much time to prepare a defense.
It was still devastating, but it could've been much worse.

At first I thought i twas a standard 4on4 on Setons, but 1on1 on Setons is simply INSANE!
Also thank god that it's not a mirror match.

Oops.... it was at 30:38. Anyway the loyalist was southwest of the tmd line and the cruiser was at the southern edge of the fleet.
belatedcube1021 That's why I love Cybran. They have so many versatile units like direct fire cruisers, splitting mobile missile launchers, large aoe strats.... I could go on forever.

Well, he could add: Mobile AA that can also hit ground targets, destroyers that can walk on land, an experimental that can produce it's own supporting units, mobile stealth generators that can be loaded on air transports (making it invis, too) and bombs that can walk, mobile arty that can stun.
HAHAHAHA! Pachu was right when he told in livestream this is 100% gonna be casted by Gyle! Man, that's funny. Such a fail game on ZLO's part. The livestream was even better!
Best example I've seen in a very long time of what's wrong with the current Veterancy system. It's not that the Bomber is OP, it's that you can't stop it with any sensible amount of ground defenses because it runs in, drops, gets hurt, OHKOs the defense, then OOPS, vet, back to full HP!
It's utterly, utterly daft.
aeoncleanse the counter for the exp bomber is ASFs, and usually on Setons both teams have large air forces ready to deal with it, which makes it unusable. This time there wasn't a big push for air from zlo, so of course the bomber should do well
The fact it's effective doesn't mean it's 'wrong'. It adds a nice little mechanic that gives you extra stuff you need to consider, whether you're attacking or defending.
Awsome play for both of them, although I was cheering for Cybran because I'm a Cybran player. Great land attacks by ZLO with Salems and Monkey Lords, and loved Patricks Illschiva drops behind the lines. 1v1 ladder matches are my favorite.
Lessons to be learned about shields, complacency and possibly commander upgrades.
That was one hell of an epic fight. When I play I look like a total dumbass compared to what even average Joes bring to the field. It's definitely worth being part of this - hopefully not for long - rather small community watching these in-depth and highly entertaining matches. I always get the urge to open up the game again.... it must've been a year or two since the last time.

That t4 bomber destruction was hard to watch... not a single shield the whole game, didn't seem to be any substantial stationary t3 aa response either. Wouldn't really consider an epic, just a really slow death (although if he would've, you know, actually used the nuke that he build 2 times over maybe the game wouldve gone differently).
Having said that, i would probably slash my wrists before playing 1v1 on setons, even pros make dumb mistakes on a map that big.
EPIC BATTLE!!!!! Gyle, I love the commentary as per usual great match! would of been astonishing to see ZLO come back up and win this battle

I haven't played this game in ages, but this replay has ignited the urge to install it again and get back into it. Suck at online RTS games though so stick to the AI I think :p

What a game. One shield to protect those pgens + nuke or 15 asf more (when the first bomber came in) and that would have been a totally different game :)

Lots of mistakes made on both sides, but still such an awesome game! Absolutely adored the durability on both sides!
This was probably the best one I ever saw. I like this Setons play way more when it's 1v1. Setons is just too "small" for the usuall 3v3 play.

I'm surprised that much trouble could be given despite such an imbalance in mass income. I suppose one side was really making its hits count hard.

I just make borders and with the wall sections across the small connection of land and then put ground and air turrets guarding it
And you would be demolished by simple arty.
But I have units lined up at the border usually.
What a nail biter its always impressive to see what the pros can pull out of there hat when they are backing into a corner

PrimeSniper7 Seraphim t3 mobile antiair... it can also shoot ground like that, and lightning never misses and applyes instant damage... (it cost more than other factions t3 mobile aa tho)

Great casting! A tad bit too slow, tho. Watched it at 1.25x speed and it was noticeably better.

How are they getting 700 mass per second? I cant even think of how thats possible.
Just on rock spot on setons u can get 500+ its called eco XD
T3 Mex + surrounded by mass storage = 36 mass/second. They only need 20 mass extractors to get that, and Seton's has plenty of mass points to get that high.

zullottrocker I guess you can build four bases, fight two naval fronts and a land front, while managing your eco and do other micro oriented stuff better than ZLO_RD?
