It's actually pretty common with decent Seton's play.

Wow, really enjoying this (seen about 15 of your game-casts but only subscribed now). I'm more of a turn based kinda guy, and before now I'd literally only played 2 games of the original Supreme Commander, but I love the casting, and upgraded my graphics chip just to play Forged Alliance, though it's still a close second to Alpha Centauri. Keep up the great work!

I think the key to the Paragon is ramping up your build capacity as early as possible and making a backup paragon the first priority after completion. That said, Team 1 was smart to nuke the remains of the capital ships in the bottom pond (the sub-hunters were a largely irrelevant bonus at that point), which gave them the mass advantage on paragon construction. Blackheart also made mistakes in not moving his shipyard engies in to help with game-enders and not restarting his mass fabs when the paragon went down.
What a great game! Just watched it almost 5 years later.
1:27:38 he did stop. reclaim ray is very different from build ray. it's much thicker and pure white. he's stopped working on the artillery and is even reclaiming it as well as the the third yolona oss construction but it's still not enough mass.

The salinity from BH in this one is too damn high. Don't think i've seen him rage before
One Yolona Oss can completely overwhelm any nuke defense they can throw up. Each missile can be build at a fraction of the time at a fraction of the cost of an antinuke and each missile takes two antinukes to destroy. Maybe by spamming nuke defense with the backing of a Paragon could Team 2 ever hope to defend against it. Maybe.
That said they knew where the Yolona was and it's a piece of paper to any offensive weapon, Blackheart knew they would destroy it with the Salvations and Mavor after the Paragon exploded, that's probably why he quit.
+every116 takes about 7-8 nuke defenses to deny a yolona, there were 11.
They started building them after they noticed the Yolona and most hadn't been loaded yet. Do you think he could have landed some before the other ones had loaded?

Huh. Didn't realize they were that easy to counter.
+every116 Not really that easy to counter, that's basically -120 mass per second and -12k energy per second not including the initial cost of 7.5k mass to build them. If you mass stall at all you will not have your nuke def loaded in time. Also let's not forget that the nuke defense can only defend a certain area, the nuke can hit everywhere else. So in reality if you have decent map control you'll probably need like 16 spread nuke defense on a 20x20 map.

I have scarcely seen buttrage on the level Dogler and BH displayed here. If only SC Account were on the bottom team instead of HZH, you would have the ultimate team of shit-talkers FAF can offer. Although I suspect that amount of ego in one place would likely cause the universe to implode...or something. It's also good to see that Blackheart knows the two fundamental rules of Setons:
1. Make excuses as to why you aren't doing well. ("2v1", "haven't played in months", "tryhard, I'm so chill")
2. Blame your allies.

Never rly understood the Tryhard comment...What exactly is an acceptable level of Try? How much Try do you need to be a Tryhard? How little Try can you use and not be a Noob?
I you could cast Seton's games where one team didn't just throw it away. But that you can't cast what you aren't sent. Honestly I watched Petric's stream during this game and I was glad I didn't play it because it looked horrible, I came back 30 minutes later and was shocked that the game wasn't over.

An interesting ending, Paragon showdown and assorted game ending weapon spam. At that point it really was down to the wire really. If the paragon had come up just a little earlier, it would have have become an exchange of superweapons with uncertain outcome. Would have depended on what got hit and what got through....
Might have gone a bit better for Team 2 if Blackheart had sent that first bomber up and popped Petrick's Naval factories.

Great video, like always! But I gotta question, why do a lot of people move their comm's everywhere, usually towards the enemies? The point of the game is to protect it.
Because your commander, with its tank and damage, is also a formidable weapon, especially in the early game. A few upgrades later and you can beef up the commander make it do more damage or increase its build power dramatically allowing it to erect a base any where in a couple of minuets. If you don't use it and send it forward, and your opponent does, you lose. This is why players are forced to push forward whether they want to or not.

Basically what Gyle said. It makes for a really interesting mechanic where it's the thing you have to protect but you have to send it to the front line anyway, because your enemy sure as hell will, and if you don't send yours your units will get slaughtered by the enemy com.

there's not even any point in assisting the yolona, it has a MASSIVE amount of build power inside it to the point where engies do almost nothing to make it faster.

Assisting it helps immensely. More assist means more anti nukes required to stop it.

I was indeed laughing out loud over that paragon race in the way that might yell and cheer over . Great game, well casted, even BH being a bit of a wanker (which is not something I recall as being his usual behaviour) couldn't spoil the fun.

And yeah, as I'm not into FAF version of FA yet, what's that HQ kinda factory type, what's its benefits and how does one factory become HQ? It builds faster and more mass/power efficient or just faster? It have to produce most units of all players' factories or player actually choose one to be it?
It just allowes you to upgrade other factories faster and cheaper. However, if you lose your HQ, all the other factories will only be able to build T1.
Amazing that this 1.5hr long video of the best game ever has got 10k views in just 1 month.

What's setons exactly and what makes it bad? I'm assuming it's something with the map setons clutch, is the map poorly made?
+A. Attasyr It's just a very popular map amongst newer players, so veterans of the game are sick and tired of it. It's kinda like DE_Dust, just played way too often. The map itself is fine, with a fun mix of everything, so just ignore the elitist fucktards like Blackheart and Dogler

It's also a huge map with a crapton of mass and tends to attract the same sorts of play styles repeatedly (not to say that there aren't multiple strategies that can be used while playing on it). It also tends to host games that go on forever like this one and people don't like that.
