my favorite part of these is doing a personal comparison with the cedh meta and then using the tech pieces people have introduced into vintage to stomp tournaments

banger Justin, other formats could envy such a thorough and well informed herald. Also I think the reason the vintage community is so welcoming is that we just want more people to play and/or care about vintage. I feel like the format could be way more popular considering how fun it is and how much it expands your knowledge about the game as a whole.

For awhile I felt you could unrestrict Necropotence. So im not too worried about the new one
Thanks for this video! I am mostly a Legacy player but Vintage fascinates me too and I love learning about it. I have some questions:
1) I have looked at BUG Midrange lists and none of them seem to play Orcish Bowmasters. I find that weird because on paper it seems like a perfect fit for the deck. Why is that?
2) What's the point of Sphinx of the Steel Wind? I have seen it in some Tinker decks I think. It seems like a really odd choice to have a creature with just a bunch of keywords as a Tinker target(?).
3) I dabbled around with Dredge a bit a year or so ago and back then all lists were on 0 Bridges, but now they seem to use 2-3, why is that?
I cant tell you why bug players do what bug players do but mostly bowmasters is overrated and not actually that good in vintage except vs non dredge Bazaar which bugs already beats
Sphinx lines up better vs the removal of the format. It is mostly for Bazaar as they don't have any way to remove it. Pro red pro green covers alot of bases and lifeline vigilance is important in the matchups it comes in

Good video. Liked and subscribed. Do you have a recommendation for starter vintage decks? My friend and I play a lot of CEDH and have been looking into proxying some vintage decks, but weren’t sure what to start with. So many of the decks look like a lot of fun, but I wanted to try and avoid proxying two decks that had a really one-sided matchup, so we can both have an enjoyable time playing. Would appreciate any feedback.
Most things tend to be close but maybe best to start with two blue decks? Doomsday vs UB Lurrus saga is a hard matchup for Doomsday but it might be very interesting for both players.
Or even just the lurrus mirror. Its very fun magic
As a newer player to MtG as a whole, Vintage seems like such a fun and interesting format! Just out of curiosity, how much do you think MH3 will affect Vintage?

I think you needed to wait a month for masters to shake up every format with insane power creep. Not to be negative, but this will be outdated in a month.
Dont think so. Ive seen the previews and they look very weak. Especially the force cycle which was going to be the biggest outlier
@@IamActuallyLvL1 i do think this it will hit modern hardest from what i saw then the other formats this time, but i also didnt see the full set. My thinking is more so itll be a card like red rootwalla that takes a teir 2 deck to teir 1 by adding a redundant part. Idk what that card is yet, but i would be surprised if doesnt at minimum warp the meta.
@@WordSonFoRealz as a modern player. its not that strong. It'll prop up some new archetypes but nothing in it has been like omg problematic!!!! yet. I say this as i play domain zoo, so im in the position to complain the most.
@@IamActuallyLvL1the blue force seems alright in dredge, may be easier to have a narco/amalgam in play than one in hand
