  • Experience here is entirely from my perspective and not from professional medical advice. Do consult an eye specialist before proceeding with ICL!
Here is my guide on how I went through my ICL surgery, where contact lenses are implanted into my corneas, from the beginning to the end. As of this video it is about 1 month since the surgery and my eyes are somewhat healed, with a few more followups required.
Overall, the post-op care is a bit tedious because of the many things I can't do, so it's better to do it early and get it over with. I'm really glad I don't have to wear glasses anymore and it has made my life so much easier!

There's a bunch of us who had bad experiences but doctors don't bother to listen to us. I know this because a doctor's assistant wondered why I removed my ICL when my vision was so good. My lenses have been ordered and I think surgery will happen in about 2 weeks (thats what he told me). I kind of have a feeling how it feels seeing through your eyes after wearing contacts a lot, But still, when it comes to eyes (the most sensitive area) it just ticks me away knowing the discomfort I will be having.
