That one is actually rare. Usually most clinics will refuse to insert an ICL after about age 45. The reason is that the lens is losing its flexibility anyway and at that point if you are going for an intraocular surgery, it will be a lens exchange at 55+.
I just had my appointment and my doctor told me that my cornea is too think for lasik and he told me about icl and how it actually better than lasik and all the advantages and now i’m just searching the internet for every detail, your video is so helpful and i decided that i will get it..thank you so much for all the information 🙏🏻
I had lasik 6 years back, I coulndt wear lenses anymore, I had -5. I was able to watch TV in the evening day I had surgery. I am happy I did it before giving birth so I was able to clearly see the baby since first second. I had and I still have dry eye, but taking the drops with me instead of whole "equipment" its still worthy.
Congratulations on your Eye surgery Mai, I am sure it is strange to not have glasses or contacts anymore! I'm short sighted and don't always need to wear glasses apart from watching tv/at the cinema or driving but this is interesting. Enjoy the freedom of no glasses!!! Much love to you all X
In the USA it is a lot easier. I had lasix when I was 49. I had been wearing contacts for almost 30 years. My lasix surgery included a flap made and a lense put in. I also had astigmatism correction. Within 8 hours I could see perfectly. So for 24 years I had no problem but then my vision changed because of cataracts. They went in and dissolved the lasix lenses and put in the cataract lenses. I see perfectly. I have always had dry eye so I need to put in eye drops 4 times a day. My doctor recommended Systane preservative free drops. If you are putting eye drops in more than 4 times a day you need to make sure that your eye drops are preservative free. VERY IMPORTANT. Glad you are happy with your results. I paid 2000. for my Lasix and my Cataract surgery was free thanks to the US Government.
I had lasik 2 weeks ago. No pain, some light sensitivity the first day or two. Some dryness that is mostly gone now. I still reach for my glasses in the morning. It is so weird still but amazing.
Hi Sister.. How r u feeling now? Your eyes are better now? I saw some comments in other videos that we get catarct soon and eye pressure also increses like that and i am scared because of that
Hi. Thank you for sharing your experience! I’ll have surgery next week and I wonder if you used any eye drops prior surgery. I saw some people are prescribed eye drops prior surgery but I’m not.
Q1) Can you please tell us what was your VISION with specs ? 6/6 or 6/9 or something else While you do your eye test What what was your vision before the surgery? Q2) what is your vision difference between pre-surgery and post-surgery? Does ICL really improve your eye vision ???, or your get the same vision as the same with specs ? Please define it properly I request you to answer these questions because I'm planning to do my ICL surgery before that I want to clear all my doubts please mam, hope you'll understand thankyou Q3) are you happy now with your surgery ? Do you face any problem now Ive heard many people are facing ( halos and glare problem very much post-icl-surgery ) do you face them ?
I had this done 3 years ago, it gave freedom from glasses for the first time in 50+ years! Enjoy!

AMAZING. TRULY.
How old are you?
Can you wear colour contact lenses still?
Have your halos lessened?
I have 22 yo can i have this surgery?
You would have to consult to know! My prescription didn't stabilize until my mid thirties! I am 35
I would advise you to wait with any form of surgery til at least 27-30.
