    If you’re a broncos fan, my advice to you is to just not despair. You’ve had an amazing run since you entered the comp. As you go forward you’ll have dips and slumps in form and it happens to literally every club.
    It’s weird, people’s expectations for broncos seems to be extremely high. In 2011 and 2012, Roosters finished 11th and 13th respectively, they won the competition the next year. In 2016 they were 15th on the ladder! Two years later they win the comp and go back to back
    You can’t remain a top 8 side forever, there will always be ups and downs and rather than focus on how bad you’re doing historically, you have to begin looking at how to go forward. 2020 is a loss, get over it start thinking long term.
    This goes for the media too, but you just basically have to stop listening to them. They’ll continue to go on about how the club is in shambles or w/e but just ignore them, don’t feel down, feel optimistic about the future. My team (Penrith) couldn’t even make the 8 last year and now we’re a serious contender for the minor premiership and maybe a premiership too.

  • @thomasgillespie17
    @thomasgillespie17 Před 3 lety +5

    It's pretty evident that the decision to move away from junior development and try to buy a premiershio, starting with the decision to chase Milford in 2014, is what started the rot. Before that, the key halves at the broncos were always from their juniors. Walters, Lockyer, hunt, Norman, berrigan, Casey McGuire, ikin, etc. Obviously roster management and bad coaching has made the decline worse, but the course had been set long ago.

  • @johnmiceter
    @johnmiceter Před 3 lety +9

    I reckon they have a pretty good team, its just their attitudes, they dont care and just arent coached well. They need a coach who can teach them how to defend together, attack together and play for each other.
    Im not normally one to blame a coach, but anyone can see its the Coaches fault this time and he needs to go, otherwise their not going to move forward.

    as much as Gal was baiting SBW for a boxing match, he's right saying SBW isn't a team player, he's done well to follow the money around the world, yet no-one will care about that when he retires... rugby league & rugby union are run as businesses, they expect a return on their investments... the Roosters are a profit driven brand who don't care about the hate, SBW was a business decision & they offered him the chance of another premiership, otherwise he would've gone to the Bulldogs or Warriors

    The first thing is change needs to happen at the top and work it`s way down the food chain . Like the players if management can`t do their job then they should be fired . The second thing the Sydney clubs all have is their young up and coming kids play together in one team . While the Broncos spread their guys to a few different Brisbane clubs , it would help if the young ones played together .

    I think a lot of this is blown out of proportion. Yes they've had a shocker, but it's down to momentum from the injury toll they've had this season and the last. How many games has Bird played for them? Roosters finished 2nd last a couple of seasons back, Robinson's still there, nobody's talking about it anymore..

    • @matonatomic

      They've had a shocker?.... it's been going on for at least 12 months!... The team has not played dominant at all - no cohesion, no team work, no talk in defence. There's something seriously wrong with this Broncos team. If you know anything about team sport, the Broncos are not at team at all. Even if Bird played every game, the result woudn't be that much different.

In hindsight they should have let Wayne see out his last year and get Seibold there on good terms.. he was set up to fail, the playing group resented him for the way Wayne was treated, if they had just gave Wayne the last 12 months and not made it a circus who knows Seibold may have done well.
