Originally sega planned for sonic to have a brother but idea was scrapped and made him the only child of Bernie and Jules instead to make him feel more special which I can see why they did it, adding tails as a adopted brother by sonic was a great move as it fills in the whole brother thing still and yes sonic underground doesn’t count since that’s a separate spin off

His dad's name is Amadeus I think.
