Red beard is so slept on in my opinion Interactions with lys and pilot are so strong for what the deck is trying to do. It seems slow at a glance but it’s literally a starter, a utility, and an extender.
I personally prefer to run the deck with a lot of ht (3 ash, 3 imperm 3 droll 2veiler) and superpoly(2x) since the deck is really fragile. Also superpoly is always working with the ship you make and the opponent monster for muddragon.

Does the deck have more backboard Control with the adventure engine?
Yes, but I think this deck with guardian chimera deals with backrow ok
