If you are listening in 2024, then you’re not wasting time!!
I did, first timer. He did not got second next to Axl Rose when this was recorded.
I ám still here! 😂😂
I already read your comment at least 5x in different days this year!
I am!
Fuck Yeah!!!
People can say whatever they want about the other singers, but Bach IS the sound of Skid Row.
I just heard a concert from Sebastian from 4 weeks ago and he sounded phenomenal,,,, any other singer that fills in for skid row without Bach is second best cheap karaoke. I hope that Sabo and Bolan come to their senses and realize what the fans really want to hear stop trying to be so controlling and let a big personality with Charisma actually be one of the most amazing frontmen of all time again. Freddie and Axl were difficult too but they were what fans wanted not always the band
It's a crime that this song wasn't as big commercially as some of their other ones. Truly incredible. Slave to the Grind is a shamefully underrated album.
That song can you come out and play twisted sister come out and play... Where not gonna take it...the price your gonna burn in Hell. That's what came to mind hearing this song... now back to your preciously recorded show... Hee Haw...
When it first came out it was not welcomed very much but those same people who didn't care much about it later on in life understood it to be one of the best records skid row ever made
right but commercially dont mean shit douse it
@@jamessearle2339 who the hell cares about commercially? Some of the worst music is popular while songs that are 100 times better aren't.
Agree!
Sebastian is without a doubt one of the greatest vocalist ever.
And writer! Lyrics here are spot on.
Absolute powerhouse
Awesome
But I think Matijevic Miljenko from Steelheart is slightly better.
It makes me cry.
I don't care what caused the band to parted ways with him, Sebastian Bach IS and ALWAYS will be the VOICE of SKID ROW......Great song ❤️
Полностью с тобой согласен 👍🤘🤝,RESPECT FROM RUSSIA, MOSCOW CITY.
You Got That RIGHT! Unfortunately they WILL NEVER Be the Same Band! They were Sooooo Good!!!!!!!!!
Skid Row minus Sebastian is hardly Skid Row, basically a cover band at this point
Really? I thought the drummer was the voice
Erik Grönwall is the best singer Skid Row could choose after Sebastian. I wished all my life for his comeback but I've realized this unfortunately will never happen, don't want to judge the guys in the band nor Sebastian 'cause I love them all and accept their decisions I don't want a band made up again just for money so I prefer to enjoy the new lineup of Skid Row and the new album which is great, so I hope they will continue to make great music with the new singer. "Turn the page" as an old song says.
I'm 43 and a veteran In the music listening world. This is in my opinion one of the greatest rock ballads ever written. Sebastian is truly an amazing voice.
Simply the best vocalist period!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤
What about IN A DARKENED ROOM? That by far is his BEST vocals he’s ever done. God, I could literally listen to that on repeat for hours on end! He was the first man I ever obsessed over! lol!
Yes , it truly is !
Anything he sings is TOP SHELF......
You and I together in our lives
Sacred ties would never fray
Then why can I let myself tell lies
And watch you die every day?
I think back to the times
When dreams were what mattered
Tough-talking youth naivete
You said you'd never let me down
But the horse stampedes and rages
In the name of desperation
Is it all just wasted time?
Can you look at yourself when you think of what
You left behind?
Is it all just wasted time?
Can you live with yourself when you think of what
You've left behind?
Paranoid delusions, they haunt you
Where's my friend I used to know?
He's all alone, he's buried deep within
A carcass searching for a soul
Can you feel me inside your heart as it's bleeding?
Why can't you believe you can be loved?
I hear you scream in agony
And the horse stampedes and rages
In the name of desperation
Is it all just wasted time?
Can you look at yourself when you think of what
You left behind?
Is it all just wasted time?
Can you live with yourself when you think of what
You've left behind?
Oh, you said you'd never let me down
But the horse stampedes and rages
In the name of desperation
Is it all just wasted time?
Can you look at yourself when you think of what
You left behind?
Is it all just wasted time?
Can you live with yourself when you think of what
You've left behind?
The sun will rise again
The earth will turn to sand
Creation's colors seem to fade to grey
And you'll see the sickly hands of time
Will write your final rhyme
And end our memory, yeah
I never thought you'd let it get this far, boy
Oh, I never thought, I never thought you'd let it get this far, boy, oh, no!
I never thought, I never thought you'd let it get this far, boy, no!
I never thought you'd let it get this far, boy
Thanks

Sebastian is one of the top vocalists of all time . I used to listen to Skid Row all the time and still go back to listening to them and rock and metal from the 80s and 90s. One of my fave songs of all time. This song will make you cry. Love you forever Sebastian and not only were you blessed with good looks but a voice that will blow you away.

I feel so saddened for the younger generation,we paved the way to express but shortly there after we bubbled wrapped our kids as the world became to scary we needed to protect, seeing and knowing what we do now.I can only say we did our best, the new age is a very dangerous one...greed,drugs and violence, and in todays world nobody is to be trusted the music is low key within rhyme soulless blubbery. This pandemic made most people robotic to work like ants and controlled like fools..iam overjoyed to know alot of younger ages appreciate some of the good stuff.
Specially this song choice of addition, we all have loved ones we try to save everyday whether from addictions or mental illnesses.

In my late teens/early 20's, I was grappling with depression and suicidal thoughts. Songs like this made me feel like I wasn't alone. That someone out there understood. I listened to this one probably a thousand times back in the day. It's a masterpiece.
@Jamie Brandt my friend, happened to me too, all the best!
Same here!
If you had not take medicine, pls take or had the correct one.
Just want you to know having depression doesn't really means there are suicidal thoughts. Only the serious one have the thoughts. The correct Medicine seriously can minimise the and eliminate at least the thoughts.
Low mood still hang around in my experiences. At some day the mood can be uplifted. Please be strong.
The mood is the one that make one feel hopeless, not the thoughts itself.

I know skid row got lumped into the hair metal genre but they were so much more than that. There was always some depth to their music that got overlooked because of the genre they got lumped into. And this album is nothing short of amazing, and original. Skid Row never sounded like anyone other than Skid Row and nobody ever sounded like them

Theres a reason NO ONE has ever tried to do this song nowdays .BECAUSE No one would be able to do it justice becausr no one has the level of talent SABO had. It was not just his incredible dounding voice . It was how he used his amazing range to go from clean to raspy to clean again in the same breath while screamong out his rage and putting ALL his body into the lyrics. THERE WAS NOT ONE MALE VOCALIST that ever lived with the exception of the amazing Chester Bennington ( RIP) that would not have traded voices with Sabo.
