I've been trading for two and a half years and I can say that the loneliness of it can be pretty heavy. These interviews are really great for being able to see and hear other traders talking the business and sharing their backgrounds. It helps mitigate the isolation aspect of this whole thing. kudos for being able to trade those charts. I wouldn't risk a dollar of my money on them though. I still prefer weak a pullback after a strong move up. I find these set-ups still happen all the time. I've gotten good and seeing the bottoms of pullbacks, and tops of retracements, and when I see the set-up on Thursdays, options expiring the next day can be a beautiful thing. You have to put in the hours and hours, and months, if not years, of study to understand price structure and have a pretty good prediction on where price will move the next day. Its all there on the screen.
Short selling looks like the easiest thing in the world right now but I'm too scared to try it. How do people seem to just jump into it knowing they could lose way more than they have in their account? I mean, all it takes is your internet crapping out at the wrong time and you're done for. Or is it not really like that?

My friend the definition of being profitable is being profitable in a bear, bull, and sideways market for at least two to three years. Anyone can have a good run for a few months, but the question is can you still be profitable in all type of market environments. It's pretty hard to just trade small caps only and do this for a living on a full time basis, as small caps get hot then fizzle. Bro omg the exact words I tell myself!! This is the hardest thing I ever did in my life there is no doubt In my mind that this is the thing I want to do. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. Dude I resonate with this like crazy. I’m 2 years and 3 months in. I have learned so much I have such a long way to go but I know it dude I know for a fact this is my thing I am not stopping! Guys please don’t give up if you feel the same as me. If you want to last longer just trade like 5 10 bux a day trade so you don’t have to worry about blowing up an account.
I’m about a year and 10 months into my journey. I get frustrated with myself but then I look at all the progress I’ve made and I change my mindset. It will happen as long as we do it right.
The progress you’ve made doesn’t have to be money wise it could be knowledge wise

At least not the average person you have to be extremely patient with yourself if you are okay with that your going to succeed. Think of karate kid wax on wax off while your studying every single day and hour you study is building your fundamentals
I would like to hear a successful trader explain why day trading is so hard. Its always described as “the hardest thing ive ever done”. Is it the hours researching? The time and effort to retool after a strategy stops working? Changing market sentiment? The mental emotional challenge? Im not skeptical just want to know what in particular is so difficult. Its conquering your human emotions. Trading tests your mental fortitude like nothing else.
It's the psychological aspect that you have to master.
What makes it so difficult is psychology. Five people could trade the exact same chart and get completely different results.
