There is no situation I've ever experienced in life that wouldn't have been improved by having Motorhead blasting in the background. Any album, any time. God bless ya, Lemmy.
Top 2: Overkill and Ace of Spades / bottom 2: On Parole and March or Die / wildcard: No Sleep to Hammersmith, one of my all time favourite live albums.
Favourite last albums sounds fun, How about Rush - Clockwork Angels.
Thank you, Steven. 1916 is an absolute gem. What a great record. I was fortunate to be a DJ on college radio at the time, so I got to promote that record when it was released. So friggin great!
Always a pleasure to talk about great music Kyle. Cheers!
Agree mate, these days I'm a massive Motorhead fan, but I wasn't in the 90s. I always loved 1916 album though, it's a great listen 👍
I don't really have any favourite Motorhead albums. I have favourite songs off each album. It's rare that any album didn't have at least a couple of outstanding tracks. Thus, apart from the headline tracks, I love Iron Horse,, Capricorn, Metropolis, Sweet Revenge, Poison, Dancing On Your Grave, I Got Mine, Choking On Your Screams.
However, there is no bad Motorhead. I'm also glad I met Lemmy when he was with Hawkwind and we had a drink together. The most intriguing question of all is "what could Hawkwind have become if Lemmy had stayed and become a major songwriter for the band?"
Hammered is probably my favourite album by them, and the lyrics to Brave New World are brilliant.
I'm really not a big fan of Motorhead but it's always a joy watching these three talking music.
1.Overkill is not only the best Motörhead album ever. It’s the greatest album ever.
2. 1916
3. Bomber
Favorites - Another Perfect Day and Overkill.
Least Favorites - Snake Bite Love and We Are Motörhead.
I love “1916”, I was working in a record/cd shop when that album came out and we got promo CD’s of it and I played it to death, it was very different as Motörhead albums go and it really was a great idea to do that. I’m glad Steven chose that one as it doesn’t get the love it deserves.
It really is a special album.
Great album. Despite being a massive metal fan in the 90s, I wasn't really into Motorhead like I am now. But I did buy 1916 and saw them on that tour.
@@PerfectMask1 Im not a metalhead at all, but I’ve always liked Motörhead, I don’t really see Thomas metal, they are more punk or hard rock to me and their relationship with one of my favorite bands, The Damned always drew me to them.
It's quite impressive about how Motorhead's catalog is so consistently great for a band that has such a large catalog. They may have a few albums that are on the weaker end, but they never really shit the bed either. The fact that even their weakest albums still have some stone cold bangers makes Motorhead one of the top tier heavy rock/metal bands of all time.
Although not my favorite, I always have to give a shout out to "Iron Fist". So much better than it gets credit for. Great showcase for Lemmy`s songwriting. "Iron Fist", "Heart Of Stone", "Go To Hell", "Sex And Outrage", "Speed Freak", "(Don`t Need)Religion". Great Stuff.
Good call!
Favorite: Overkill, Bomber, Another Perfect Day, Orgasmatron, 1916
Least favorite: Snake Bite Love, We Are Motorhead, Hammered
Underrated: Overnight Sensation
My favorite era is Bastards thru Inferno. I'll limit my choices to that era
Top 1. Sacrifice
2. Inferno
Bottom 2. Hammered
1. Snake Bite Love
One of my favorite bands ever! God bless Lemmy and the boys. This was incredibly difficult!
Favorite: Another Perfect Day, Bastards
Least Favorite: March Or Die, Snake Bite Love
Wildcard: Better Motörhead than Dead: Live at Hammersmith
Fav Overkill and Bomber. Least fav On Parole and Motorhead. What a way to spend a Sat night : Motorhead, SOT and cider. Thanks Lads. RIP Ian Fraser Kilmister. What a great second name... What a way for Motorhead to finish, Bad Magic is superb from beginning to end.
The live recording from the Montreux Jazz Festival is brilliant, mainly because of Lemmy's comments like, 'Here's another jazzy one for you!'
Great show 👍 A Real ale while talking about Motorhead albums, doesn't get much better than that 🍺♠️
What an awesome show…again… this is what they call chemistry.. to watch this with a good beer is even better 🍺
Wow, Y and T - can't believe it's taken this long to get around to that one.
Brilliant show and nice t-shirt, Mr Reid! Another 1916 lover here, firmly on the soundtrack to my teenage years ❤
I agree there are three eras but I break them down differently
1st Trio era
Quartet era
2nd Trio era
I love the first 2 eras and like the 3rd. I think Wurzel was a riff guy who understood what made a great Motörhead riff. It had to have some of that Rock and Roll swing. Phil & Mikkey wrote good songs but the swing disappeared as they took over writing the music. And Mikkey is technically brilliant but he's too good. There was no danger of it going off the rails because the guy is so locked in. Motörhead needs some danger.
That said here are mine from the three eras as I defined:
Favorites:
Another Perfect Day
1916
Motorizer
Least Favorites:
Iron Fist
March Or Die
We Are Motörhead
Wild Cards:
'79 Box Set
No Sleep At All
The Lost Tapes vol 2 - Norwich 1998
My all-time favorite Motörhead album is No Sleep 'til Hammersmith. Nothing beats it. They were ferocious and they played Rock and Roll.
Favorites
01. Orgasmatron (1986)
02. Overkill (1979)
Least favorites
01. March ör Die (1992)
02. Motörhead (1977)
Wildcard
1916 (1991)
Nice video. always enjoy these. Just popped to my mind, as you guys said something about the Motörhead merch... Me and my wife were on a train here in Finland, and we we're at the restautant. So, the one and only absolute rock n' roll legend Michael Monroe appears there, and as you do here in Finland, nobody disturbs him or anything, but Michael turns to us and compliments my t-shirt, which happens to be a Ginger Wildheart-shirt, a merch from a Michaels own bandmate (at the time). My Ginger shirt was a ''balck metal-style'' design with, Ginger's face on a ''corpsepaint'' and ''Ginger'' written with ''Black metal-style''. Ofcourse I thanked Michael for his kind words and at the same time I noticed that my wife was wearing a classic Morörhead t-shirt, and realised right away that MIchael propably had no idea about the Ginger/his own bandmate-shirt I was wearing, but was complimenting my wifes Motörhead shirt :D
Thank you, gentlemen. As always I'm always very grateful for you company. Iconic band + engaging panel = entertaining show.
Great show, gents, and, as always, highly entertaining. Cheers!
My wild card album with always be Snake Bite Love. Killer album. ‘Assassins’, ‘Gods of War’, ‘Take The Blame’, ‘Night Side’ and ‘Better Off Dead’ are all all-out metal.
Off topic but i just wanted to thank both Steven and Pete for their wonderful video ranking the Riverside albums some time back. Being of a certain 'vintage' my last musical epiphany was back in '93 when i first heard the Ozric Tentacles. Since then i have discovered newer bands but, to be honest, not with the enthusiasm of past years. However the enthusiasm and description given of this band's music made me want to tip my toe in the water. Since then i have barely had a day pass without playing this band's amazing material. Also this has rekindled my love of music in general and as such i owe you both a debt. Thank you so much (although my bank manager is less enthused)! BTW loved this video and Sacrifice is for me my favourite Motorhead album for what it's worth.
The pleasure is mine (and Pete's no doubt) Baz. Delighted that you enjoyed the Riverside show, and then their music and that in turn then opened the door to more excellent new music. It's great fun doing all of these shows but reading responses like this makes it even more worthwhile. Thank you!
1. Ace of Spades
2. Overkill
3. Orgasmatron
4. Aftershock
5. Sacrifice
6. Hammered
7. Bastards
8. 1916
9. Bad Magic
10. Overnight Sensation
(top 10)
Rock 'n' Roll and On Parole
(Least favorites)
Today I am having a beer from Terrapin Brewery in Georgia called Hopsecutioner IPA 7.3%ABV.
This I think was the hardest yet to do favorite and least favorite. No bad albums in this catalog and several favorites.
Today I am going with 3 top favorites.
Ace of Spades,Orgasmatron,1916.
Orgasmatron was my introduction so it has a special place with me.
Least favorite I’ll go with On Parole.
Wild card- All the rest of the catalog. How’s that for cheating? Great show guys as always.
Now that is top cheating!
Favorite:
1. Another Perfect Day
2. Overkill
Least Favorite:
1. March Or Die
2. Kiss Of Death
Wildcard:
Rock And Roll
Great final album: Rush - Clockwork Angels
I'm another one that thinks another perfect day is a underrated album. Like it alot.
Great show and i cant wait for the Y&T episode. Such a great album.
First time I have ever seen Pete in just a regular Shirt! No Band, logo, nothing.
Another very enjoyable video guys thank you! Very brave of you to take on the Motorhead catalogue I must say! Haven`t listened to them recently so would need to go through what I have again to make an informed opinion but I`m pretty certain that `1916` would at least make my wildcard choice.
This concept would work on The Prog Seat show.
I decided many years ago to buy a Motörhead compilation album as my one Motörhead album and that was No Remorse which came in a genuine leather sleeve. It’s a fantastic album which I still have 30 years later.
My favourite last album is Clockwork Angels.
My favorite show on Sot! Altough I'm not a massive motorhead fan I always enjoy the show anyway.
Thanks Alex. Much appreciated!
Three picks: Overkill; Ace of Spades; Another Perfect Day. Least Three: March or Die; Rock ‘n’ Roll; Kiss of Death. Wild cards: 1916; Bastards; On Parole. Favorite Motorhead song is Iron Horse/Born to Lose and my favorite version is from On Parole.
My top three: 1. No Sleep 'til Hammersmith, 2. Overkill, 3. Another Perfect Day
I'm sure the live one is not allowed, at least it shouldn't be.
If it were, it'd be my #1 no contest there. Best; Overkill, Iron Fist. Least; Snake Bite Love, March or Die. Wild card; Another Perfect Day.
Those are my 3 faves also.
Many thanks lads.
Favourite is probably Overkill. Cliche I know. But i do adore the debut.
From the other lineups, I love Rock n Roll, Bastards, Sacrifice, We Are Motorhead, and Inferno (which is probably a top 5 album from them).
Least favourite? March or Die. There's a reason it's so reviled.
Hi Peter..ian all the way from hamilton new Zealand..I absolutely love your channel..when I was 17 a friend had orgasmatron..I was hooked 1st listen..however I love the classics 2..overkill ..motorhead..iron fist..and another perfect day..lem is a God..thanks for the hours you put into this stuff..cheers mate.😊
Good show ❤ SOT
Should be a great show , love MOTORHEAD !!! 🤘🏻
Look forward to the Y&T episode, one of my very favorite US bands ...
Once again Simon shows impeccable taste agree with most choices, even a commendable stance on Zeppelin.
Simon does make me smile. I love Orgasmatron , and the title track lyrics really make me smile.
Outstanding show gentlemen. I tend to agree that Motörhead had no bad albums, but my least favorite is easily March or Die (1992). Too many cooks, not enough Motörhead. I happen to like Snake Bite Love (1998), but it's probably my second least favorite. Ace of Spades(1980) and Overkill (1979) are 1 and 2. Wild card is Inferno (2004).
Great show! You all have fantastic chemistry.
Stupidly only got into Motörhead only a couple of years ago. Better late than never but it's sad to think I'll never see them live. Nevertheless my favourites are:
Motörhead - Iron Horse and Keep Us on the Road are two of my favourites of theirs.
Overkill - Damage Case, Stay Clean, Limb from Limb. Enough said. Complete masterpiece.
Least favourites are March or Die and The World is Yours.
As someone young(er) I've never heard of Y&T so that's my next procrastination project.
Definitely give Y&T a listen. First 2 records are terrific bluesy hard rock, the next 3 are more hard rock / metal. I'd say start with Earthshaker.
I'll take stout and Sierra Nevada please! Have heard 2/3rds of releases and in the era I haven't heard the one I have is Bastards and really dig it- as with everything else I've heard. Nice Spinal Tap Jazz Odyssey mention by Steven and Killed by Death which was new when I first heard band by Simon. Don't sleep on latter-day releases!
As a wild card I would say an album that never was. No Remorse-era. Snaggletooth, Locomotive, Killed By Death, Under The Knife, Under The Knife and Steal Your Face. Few more songs and that would've been one of the best Motörhead albums ever.
favourite - overkill,bomber,orgasmatron,1916, aftershock.
least- iron fist(not title track though),march or die, inferno, the world is yours.
wildcard(s)- snakebite love, all 3 wrestling songs and ace of spades acoustic version👌….and killed by death🤘🏻
My favorite album is No Sleep Til Hammersmith. Favorite studio albums are Overkill, Ace Of Spades, Aftershock, Bad Magic, Bomber. Least favorites are March Or Die & Rock & Roll.
Favorites: Bastards, Sacrifice
Least Favorites: Motorizer, Snake Bite Love
Wild card: The Best Of (from 2000), No Sleep Til Hammersmith
Great video gents, hope you're all well! This was really hard, it reminded me of when we did Saxon, there's just no crap!
Here goes...
Top two: Overnight Sensation, this where I got into Motorhead, still love it,
and Overkill, just blew my tiny mind first time I heard it!
Least favourites: Snake Bite Love, great just not as good the the albums either side,
and Iron fist just not as good as what when before. Both are great though.
Wildcard: The St. Valentine's day Massacre EP with Girlschool, absolutely fantastic! Also, maybe controversial, Under Cover, most covers albums are beyond terrible but i really like this one!
My Favorites:
1. Ace of Spades
2. Overkill
3. Bomber
4. Iron Fist
5. 1916
6. Another Perfect Day
7. Rock ‘n’ Roll
8. Motörhead
9. Orgasmatron
if you wouldn't have hit "enter" so many times you could've fit 10 on there.
Favourites:
No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith
Another Perfect Day
Orgasmatron
Least Favourites:
On Parole
March ör Die
Wildcard:
Motörizer
Motörhead
Favorite: Another Perfect Day & Inferno. First time I saw them was the Another Perfect Day tour at a little club in Berkeley, CA. All us "spotty lookin" kids were in line to get into the club and Peter Gabriel was playing up the street at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley. They were all well dressed as they walked by our position. We got some funny looks from Gabriel's audience. A classic memory. Cheers Guys!
It's funny, March or Die is my least favorite, but I absolutely love Stand, Name In Vain, Asylum Choir and the title track. Proof that Lemmy and the boys were always in high gear.
Rock n roll had three classics on it. The title track, Blackheartband a Stone Deaf.
Favorite:
Overkill
Ace of Spades
Bomber
Least Favorite:
We Are Motörhead
Inferno
Rock n Roll
Wildcard: 1916
If I was picking from eras I'd go: Favs Overkill, Orgasmatron, Overnight Sensation (early new trio), Aftershock (later new trio)
Least favs self titled (don't count On Parole), March or Die, Hammered, Bad Magic
I don't even care for motorhead but I was entertained on this one.
Overkill is my favourite album but I can’t believe you got through an hour without mentioning Bastards or Overnight Sensation. Those albums are incredible.
Overnight S is a great record!!
My Motorhead favorites
1 - Bomber
2 - Another Perfect Day
Least favorites
1 - The World is Yours
2 - Snake Bite Love
Wildcard pick
Bastards
Not got any motorhead albums or been a fan, but great show 👍🏻
My favourites - Ace of Spades and Another Perfect Day
Least Favourites - The World is yours and On Parole
Wildcards - Aftershock and Rock n Roll
Pete's comments on Bad Magic makes me need to revisit. When I reviewed it at the time, “The Devil” and “Choking On Your Screams” were standouts, but his weakened vocals did concern me about his health. As it should have. He was never going to change his lifestyle in order to extend his life, so just grateful we were blessed with his existence for 70 years.
1. Ace Of Spades
2. Overkill
3. Bomber
4. Another Perfect Day
5. Inferno
6. Bastards
7. Iron Fist
8. Motörhead
9. Hammered
10. 1916
1 Overkill
2 Ace of spades
Wild card: Orgasmatron and sepultura's cover
Least: really hard to pick
Favourites are Orgasmatron and Ace Of Spades, 2 worst are March Or Die and Bad Magic. Wildcard is Another Perfect Day.
Fine, fine choices Simon. I agree whole heartedly. Bad Magic and Hammered both excellent albums.
Glad we're on the same page!
Motorhead : Favorites - Ace of Spades / Bastards, (very hard to pick only 2). Least favorites - Overnight Sensation (not bad, but very forgettable) March or Die (I think this is really a bad, bad album). Wild card : Another Perfect Day.
Snaggletooth related rock and roll story. A story so embarrassing Steven should be able to see the glow from my red face a few (in US terms) miles away in Perth.
So there was a rumour here in Edinburgh and my part of Fife (or maybe just folk taking the pish out of yours truly), that Joe Petango (artist creator of Snaggletooth) was actually a pseudonym for non other than Pete Agnew, bass player with Nazareth.
In the early 80s I had the pleasure of chatting to Pete and asked him if this was true. Pete, to his credit as a rock and roll gentleman and scholar said... of course it was true, he'd always done artwork but music took precedence etc etc and that not a lot of people knew he was the artist.
(One for hardcore Nazareth fans here) To think he said you can't trust an excited Texan...
I still think he's a painter. 😉
😂😂😂👍👍👍
For those who are only interested in music and don't drink beer, the boring beer part ends around the fifth minute.
Plenty of people like the beer section and even list what they're drinking in the comments. Either way, we appreciate you watching. Thanks!
Motorizer is one of my favourites
Overkill is my favourite album and cover art
Top Two: Sacrifice and Overkill
Bottom Two: Iron Fist and Aftershock
Wild Card: Kiss of Death
Cool!! Iron Fist!! Aftershock!!
What a coincedence! I just got my first Möterhead album today. An old vinyl copy of Orgasmatron.
The lyrics to the title track are some of the best the Lemster ever wrote.
@@darksidegallery I'll give it a good read. Lyrics sheet was included. Tonight i only played side A.
Ill stick to my favs as I really cant pick the worst. My 3 favs are
Overkill (yup its predictable but I think for good reason)
Inferno (Heavy as hell, being a thrash fan heavier Motorhead hell yea)
We are Motorhead (Sorry Steven but I love this one also quite a heavy album and I do love the God Save the queen cover)
My introduction to Motorhead was from "No Remorse" in the early '80s. It just blew me away, from the band name, album cover, and of course featuring all their classic songs, including future classic "Killed by Death." The SOT crew, as usual, did a great job presenting and commenting on the band's catalog and long history. So I have nothing new or profound to add. Instead I'll basically agree with the rationale behind their faves and least faves. In terms of longevity, durability, consistency, loyalty (to the fanbase), no one could match this band. It was remarkable how they could crank out one album after another well into their later years when many of their peers struggled to produce something three to five years out.
My faves: Overkill, Bomber, Another Perfect Day, Orgasmatron, Sacrifice, Inferno, Aftershock... least faves: Motorhead (1st album), 1916, March or Die, Overnight Sensation. As the guys said, no actual bad albums in their catalog. First album, to me, was similar to those of Saxon and Accept--new band still getting their wings. But they all found themselves pretty quickly and off they went. Pete unwittingly named the next Motorhead album, "Balls and Grime." LOL, brilliant! If only...
Great question the only one for me and is JHE EL
1.ace of spades 2.overkill,very close second 3.another perfect day,has some of lemmys best bass playing on it,bit like a really heavy zz top 4.bomber,wildcard ,the original motorhead album, not on parole,on stiff records, first motorhead album i owned, you could almost put it in the psyche/stoner rock bag, sludgy production ,speedy motorhead songs mixed with slower, heavier versions of hawkwind tunes,i love it.motorhead were allways just motorhead,to me they came more from the uk psyche hawkwind/pink fairies camp,a bit like a stripped down/heavier pink fairies, even larry wallis on guitar early on,also pink fairies, theres a show, pink fairies album ratings.they werent from a hardrock background, lemmy from psyche rock/eddie from soul, funk, hendrixy curtis knight band, philthy the punk, not what you would expect.first album released on stiff records,a new wave label, with no other hard rock/metal acts, bar maybe the tyla gang, maybe include the damned, whose machine gun etiquette album,is a motorheadish, speedy heavy affair bar the vocals, motorhead kind of occupied there own space,no one was like them at the time, though they spwned many bands
The horror movie Trick or Treat (1986) introduced me to Fastway.
The one thing you can say about Motorhead is that they never went down the reggae route.
Though he did team up with Ice T & that lead singer from Ugly Kid Joe to sing Born to Raise Hell for the film Airheads.
I listened to Motorhead for the first time in 1988 and No sleep at all.
This is still my fave live album from them
My most favourite are Overkill, 1916.
My least is the debut, and Sacrifice.
My wild card , Aftershock, Iron fist.
Bastards is right up there for me, I'm surprised it didn't get a shout.
Another great UK Connection. I find I really need to be in the mood for Lemmy and the boys. I haven't properly heard an album since Rock n Roll. Quite liked Bad Magic. 1 down 14 to go.
Definitely check out Inferno first out of the post Rock n Roll albums. The other highlights (IMO) are Bastards and Sacrifice.
Favorites: Overkill, Bastards
Least favorites: Hammered, Rock & Roll
No Sleep Til Hammersmith however is still my favorite thing they ever did. Phenomenal live album
Overkill and Inferno. Yes... it's Rock and Roll!!!
A tough task because they are all good
Top 2
1 Ace of Spades purely the first Motorhead Album I Bought had to save all my pocket money lol
2 Overkill its just mega
Bottom 2 no particular order
1 Sacrifice
2 Overnight Sensation
Both Good but not great
Wild card I'm going to to cheat as these 3 are killers
1 Another Perfect Day
2 1916
Bad Magic
1. Ace of Spades
2. Overkill
---
22. We Are Motorhead
23. March or Die
HM: 1916
Hi guys, just to say am at a gig tonight so will catch up ASAP - beer of choice has been 3 Brewers Classic (St Albans Brewery) Cheers!
I hope the gig was good Iain??
@@TranquilityFireReid Morning! Yes thanks - NEVER THE BRIDE at a small venue in Luton, been going for years. Sort of like Heart but less AOR and more 70s inspired. Lead singer Nicki Lambourne has a great voice - "the best female rock voice since Janis Joplin" according to some bloke called Roger Daltrey. She doubles as a vocal coach and has given lessons to the likes of Beverly Knight and, um, my daughter, as an 18th birthday present a few years back!!! They have lots of stuff on CZcams if you fancy having a listen...
@@iainhead9898 Hey Iain, very much appreciate the reply. I checked out Never The Bride. Musically not really floating my boat, but wow can Nicki sing! What a talent that lady is. Thanks for suggesting I give them a listen. Cheers!
Favourite albums:
1. Overkill
2. Ace of Spades
3. Inferno (this is also my underrated pick too)
Least Favourite:
1. Snake Bite Love
2. March or Die
All other Motorhead albums are fantastic, they really didn't release any horrific albums... maybe some dull ones, but not terrible.
On the subject of people wearing shirts from bands that they couldn't name a single song. I saw a young person wearing a Kiss shirt. The person didn't know that Kiss was a band. When I explained that they were indeed a Rock band the person responed with oh a Rock band like Nirvana?
I have an usual Motörhead torrid tale of woe to tell:
Back in 1991, l was a twenty-something year old lad working at a record store on Long Island, New York. I was dating a very pretty, raven-tressed, metal chick who always dressed in black. Back then, a cool record label cat got me two free tickets to see a concert in New Jersey called Operation Rock and Roll. The bill was: Metal Church, Dangerous Toys, Motörhead, Alice Cooper, and Judas Priest then headlining. All five bands, at the time, were signed to one of a myriad labels under the Sony Music umbrella. This was right before Metallica released The Black Album, in August 1991. I remember playing an advance promo cassette of that album, in my car on the way to the show, from Long Island to New Jersey. Due to a rainstorm, we arrived at the show very late, at the end of Motörhead’s set. The only song we saw Lemmy and the boys perform was their set closer, “Ace of Spades.”
My friend at Sony Music was only able to get me one backstage pass for the show. So, sometime after Motörhead’s performance, l left my then girlfriend alone, and l went backstage to meet some rockstars. I met Alice Cooper who was a very friendly fellow; same for the men in Judas Priest. I saw Lemmy sitting with a bunch of dudes and also some of the the Amazonian women from the Cycle Sluts from Hell. (Anyone remember them?!) l approached Lemmy to sign my 1916 CD booklet, l had kept dry in an inner pocket of my denim jacket. I said to him, “Hey Lemmy, can you please sign my 1916 album?” He retorted back, “Sure mate,” without looking up. I then FOOLISHLY began to make small talk as he scribbled his signature. “‘Ace of Spades’ was sure great tonight,” l said. He then looked up at me and said, out loud for everyone to hear, “Ace of Spades?! Get fuckin’ current, mate!! That song is thirty years old!!” Everyone around him cracked up, as l slunk off, mortified and embarrassed. Of course, at the time, the song was only eleven years old, not thirty; but l wasn’t about to get into an argument with Mr. Kilmister about it. I was just being honest about what l saw, without giving him the long story of how l got to the show late due to the poor weather conditions outside the indoor venue.
Keep up the sterling work, you groovy group of guys.
Cheers from Noo Yawk, ova heyah.
Rock Out & Prog On!
It’s simply Rock ‘n’ Roll, in any lexicon!
~ Davey Cretin, AKA, Chauncey Marwood Oglethorpe III
Tremendous story. Nice 👍 💯
Funny story, thanks for sharing! Lemmy was a real dick to you back then. I wonder if he always behaved like that with his fans or just was in a bad mood that night.
Motorhead is my favorite band. I like all the albums until 1916 included...
Top tier: Overkill, Ace of Spades, Orgasmatron
Lowe tier: March or Die, Snake Bite Love, Hammered
The rest somewhere in between. Motörhead has to be one of the most consistent bands ever. Truly not a bad album in there.
I think Simon was hit hard by the loss of Lemmey
Simon never knowing what's going on will never not be funny lol I recently found a Y&T live album, Open Fire, at a local record shop and I really like it.
My first pick that comes to mind for a great last album is Clockwork Angels by Rush
