When theses come out on the 20th, we will know for sure. Independent Reviewers are gonna have a field day with these. More exited about the X Plus just because it won't have some insane price premium and may get better battery life. Just hope there are more linux kernel patches for these that are coming soon

Branding the new Laptops as AI machines is concerning.
The lack of AI is not what makes Windows laptops lackluster.
It's the very bad battery life and bad thermals that do so, and this doesn't seem to be the selling point of the new products.
VFX artists are waiting for this updates !!

@@esscce if the chip performance justified for $1000 why not? But I do agree $1000 is not a friendly price point.
@@iambehindthemrk it has the power but it'll have bugs and they don't seem that confident, making the chip isn't the issue it's the software side, apple was secretly working on this cpu tech, 3 years before releasing that M1 chip and they have the advantage of in house OS, but these companies are so greedy like the GPU giants, there's no luck for consumers, no options especially if you prefer Windows.
Wouldn't you just buy an external battery for your laptop at this point maybe more ram, the X chip will come with more RAM but still having bugs is crazy
Oh another is if you want less heat (global warming) as these companies say they do why not make sure they price super low so that we can use efficient chips that lower global warming, these companies don't really care about the planet

Snapdragon X Elite low power vs M4?
M4 is probably more power efficient because its using 2nd gen 3nm process from TSMC.
Personally, I'll go with Snapdragon X Elite. The 5G module is top notch.

try to get the speaking heads not to be looking at both the camera or the interviewer, just the latter, might want to use a second or third synced camera for the interview.

If there's no linux support I don't care about this. I've got a thinkpad x13s with the arm chip and it's been such a pain in the ass to get linux on it.
Which distros have you tried? I've heard that Manjaro and Fedora have an iso for ARM.

The issue you might have is drivers? As there are native are distributions and software.
Qualcomm has upstreamed drivers for xelite since January.

Multi day battery life? The most unnecessary statement ever. Why set yourselves up like this?
If you only work 4 hours a day then it’s multi-day. Windows phantom drain will kill the battery I’m sure.
Snapdragon processor How nice it would be if they made proposals for computers and laptops it will remain a dream it will never become reality so sorry. Intel is ruling the processor world and no other company is coming in the processor world.
