How did using this go? I’m looking at getting a barrel stove to evaporate this year, I would basically just cut the top and get a pan. Any tips or things you would’ve done differently?
Using it is great, I would make another if the barrel ever rusts out for sure. I only tap every other year so it works great for me. But you can start out with stainless fryer pans and cut out a square in the barrel for one or two of those to fit. Just make sure to measure twice and cut once 👍🏻
What size pan was that? I had made the same with the fryer pans but would like to get something with more surface area and deeper to sit closer to the fire
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ben!
Great video, very useful to me. Curious your pan size.
I think it’s 2x3 if I remember right

Hey out of curiosity how much condensation drips back into your pan from that preheater? What sort of evaporation do you get? Thanks!
Not to much but a little bit. Most of it rolls out the front. I would say if I stay on top of loading wood I can get 3.5gph burn off rate.

It’s about 2x3 I believe👍🏻
@@TRoutdoors2021 ok. Thanks
Where did you get the stainless float valve?
I was able to just order the stainless float valve with not fitting from eBay for fairly cheap
Every other word is um!
Um then don’t watch it and move on
