    Older video i know. But if you want some good tires as far as traction but not tearing up the lawn real bad. You should get a set of 22x11x8 square knobbies. They are amazing. They come out factory on hinda 185's and 200's. Hell i think even the 200's as well. I have about 7 hinda 3 wheelers. Thats the only tire i run. I even have them on all my kawnmowers lol. Anyway that miniskir is awesome buddy. Great job

    Looks like a very nice project. The jerky-ness kind of goes along with un-matched components and process. That is NOT a slam at all, we only know what we know, and what we can learn quickly from web-land and suppliers. OTOH, the more you run it the smoother you'll be as an operator. I've built 2 skid loaders; the first was with hydro motors and loader valves. The second used 2 Hydro-gear zero turn self contained drives. The zero turn set-up was way smoother to operate, speed & direction linkage instead of hoses, and the units were very durable. You probably already know this, but you'll probably want some sort of lug tires if you work in loose dirt, mud or snow.

    • @TRoutdoors2021
      @TRoutdoors2021 Před 7 měsíci

      They should be fine most. Valves you are going to used have a pressure regulator that you can adjust to protect your wheel motors

  • @willieshaw2522
    @willieshaw2522 Před 8 měsíci

    In mild steel, the recommended tapped thread depth is the thickness of the bolt, so for your 5/8" axle pillow block bolts, just tapping the 1/4" wall to 5/8" thread is less than 1/2 of the recommended thread engagement. The recommended bolt torque for even a grade 2 5/8" coarse thread bolt is 75 ft/lbs and I doubt you will get anywhere near that without pulling threads.

    Thanks for sharing your build. I’ve been preparing to make one myself and will pull the trigger soon. I do have a question about the tensioner on the final drive. Is it on the correct side? By the i mean, shouldn’t it be on the slack side of the sprocket? Thanks again, I’ll keep watching for more.

    • @TRoutdoors2021
      @TRoutdoors2021 Před 9 měsíci

      Your correct it is on the wrong side, I usually just build on the fly with just a rough draft in my mind haha. After the frame was built that’s where it ended up. I haven’t had any issues because it’s a 5/8 bolt holding the tensioner sprocket down so it doesn’t move until the chain stretches again

      It does pretty well you have to be good at controlling it for sure but you can use both the drive motors and another option if you wish.
