I sort of want to suggest a Dream Hound/Pup.
Since Tapirs look like dream eaters, counting sheep for sleeping, and it's just a good dog.

Domestic, because dogs are that way,
and then Ovis-Tapirus because they're science-y names for the sheep and tapir
Maybe the modern name for this could be an Edrid?

To me, he looks like his name would be June-Bug and he looks like he lives on a farm with a family of 3 or 4. His human (the one he is most bonded with, probably the youngest child) would call him either Ju-Ju or Buggy
I must say, your intro reminds me of a resurrection plant. It's a plant that like pulls itself together when it's dry and expands when it gets wet. It's so cool, great job!

And yeah, there's a Zoo in Edinburgh. It has a nice play area where you can sit on a small grassy incline, and it's just next to the penguin enclosure. I'm pretty sure that there are benches around there too if I remember right. It can get kind of busy there with kids running around though.

Just started, already excited. I own a English Cocker, and my last dog was part English cocker- I owe alot to her. Im a HUGE cocker fan.
It is an english Tashee! Very social, tends to eat a lot and can be quite vocal.

I use them and I recommend them! You can scribble some on the side, add water and use that as paint, you can colour in and use water to blend. They're amazing

I did a random creature design and three animals that I got were the red muntjac the dhole and a turtle
I really love your take on this "sheep dog." I found you because I was looking for ways to enhance my dragons, which are my own creations to start with, but I want to make them better. So I looked up creature creation. I think these mash ups are excellent brain exercises. I love your watercolor, but do admit I love the digital even more. You are encouraging in your process. I've never been great at sketching ahead and you have a great sketchbook technique to do that. I just erase a billion times and get frustrated. That said, do you tend to use hotpress watercolor paper? This sketchbook aside, of course. I love this book that this person sent you. Anyway, I'm up with a migraine, so my brain is all over the place. Just know that you've given this ole artist a great path to get back on track. I've been doing coloring books so much over the last four years that I lost sight of my creativity in other things and my own creature development. You're helping me find it again.
