You can still do instant coups with Trotsky. They usually get barely any units because you don't have enough time to send them the infantry equipment needed.
Finally ISP is playing the same game as his fanbase has been All this time

Yeah that instant coups thing, you could get Trotsky and some NKVD focus with could give you -50% coup cost with Trotsky and with the NKVD focus or something like that, I did it once and it was a... unique experience at that. However after about 2 coups in it broke and I couldn't supply the coups quick enough and they just didn't do coup things.

i found a great way to make random sht happen in hoi 4 with no mods.
enter the game , tag one by one any country that has puppets and release them , remove all guaranties and bring down world tension after all of that .
(i like leaving japan and soviets alone as they are cos i still like having that one massive jack pot you can win and get allot of land and japan just cos i like to give them fighting chance)
i even got UK join me as germany and i didn't influence them at all , they just randomly asked me to join my faction ,, faction name was - PENUS ,, maybe that's why
