    Who ever voted in this government should be ashamed of themselves vote for Pauline Hanson, only she will save Australia and save Australians.

      Pauline will never appeal to mainstream Australians, shes too histrionic. One nation may have a chance of getting somewhere with a different leader.

      The media and Labor are trying to paint it in such a positive light, which makes me even more distrustful of them - either their critical thinking skills are lacking, or integrity... Most likely both!

      It's the second surplus. The LNP delivered 9 deficits after proclaiming a debt and deficit emergency back in 2012, which they then did nothing about. They're both crap.

    Tranche 2 AML laws should cut back on money laundered into RE, driving down prices and taking pressure off wages (if general immigration is cut too).

    Please do a piece on the huge Australian corporations with offshore "work hubs" in cheap third world countries and the impact of those on the domestic job market. ANZ, for example, has over 20,000 staff in Bengaluru and Manilla...and most of the others have similar numbers. These corporations collect fees and interest from everyday Australians....and then pour that back into Indian income tax to repair THEIR roads, schools and hospitals. We can scoff all we want at the crazy immigration numbers our Federal government is pouring into the country, but those large corporations have found a way to even circumvent and turbo-charge that.

    I like your ideas Leif, but the last Australian government who tried to pull a major swifty on resources companies, was brought down by the CIA and MI6 (per John Pilger). I just got back from Malaysia, where they produce heaps of oil, but sell it overseas and locally at parity pricing. The government then has to subsidise he oil refineries so motorists pay only MYR 2 per litre. It would be better to reserve a percentage of their reserves for locals, but would there be a regime change if they tried to implement such a measure.

    • @keepitreal2902
      @keepitreal2902 Před 16 dny

      They can't. Their oil fields produce a type of crude that their refineries can't refine. Oils ain't oils.
