    OYUT your instructional video on how to install the Timney Alpha Glock GEN-5 trigger is outstanding. Best most absolutely clear step by step demonstration on youtube. Especially the part where you took your time showing how to put in the spring, slide lock lever... Super helpful! You made it easy and crystal clear. Your video is 1000x better than the ones Timney themselves put out, theirs's were confusing and did not have necessary detail where needed, plus they didn't even cover how to do a GEN-5. Thank you!

    THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this video. The smallest step at the 5:13 mark made all the diff, I had taken the glock 17, gen 5 apart to change the slide stop and could not put it back together. Without pushing that spring down so it's under the locking block you can't pull the trigger and you can't rack the slide. To be clear I had someone change the trigger for me almost 2 years ago so I wasn't familiar with messing with this trigger, I thought it was simple, to change the slide stop, but I wasn't putting it back correctly because of the spring, until I saw what you did at the 5:13 mark. Again thanks for this video, I had been working on this for at least 3 hours.

    You sir should get some sort of award from this install video. I just installed my trigger just now and it seems to work better with the same spring on my Glock 17 gen 5. Reset is clearly better on my gun now. Adjusted the takeup from the triggers screw a little bit but i don´t think that could effect the reset. My gen 5 Glock in new too and that might be the case too. Anyway the trigger is way better that i espect it to be. Well the prize in Finland is 250 euros but it sure was worth it!

Well, I was doing it wrong because of their video. Thank you so much. Your video provides the exact step by step instruction.

    Is there a chance of the Timney alpha competition for glock 19 gen 5, to disarm the firing pin due to a drop from a chest height? Once this trigger makes the gun to get full coked (I mean 100% of the firing on the set ready strike position)... This situation wouldnt cause a incidental shot, because of the safety plunger pin, but it would set the gun not ready for fire... even with the ammo set on the chamber... Has anyone done this test?

      I know of one, an expert gunsmith couldn't figure out how to get it to work. They tried to remove material from the side of the frame assuming it was dragging there etc. but it didn't help.

    • @johnsonsadventurequest
      @johnsonsadventurequest Před 9 měsíci +1

      Mine was doing this. This is happening because your connector is sticking out too far when seated into the trigger housing and as a result causes too much friction. The fix is to remove connector and bend just a little so it sits closer to the housing and upon reassembly make sure you use the red spring. Your trigger reset should be sharp and responsive!

      @vietnamtactical2088 I couldn't get it to then no. I've since dismantled and reassembled it deliberately going very slow through the process, now I have to pull the trigger clear into the back of the trigger guard for it to actually "drop the hammer" but I have yet to actually fire it. The factory glock trigger is more responsive than this

From the almost immediate power loss, customers receiving lights with connections unsoldered, randomly turning on and burning customers despite being "locked", not working at all straight out of the package, and they've exploded to boot.
      It's hard to justify Olight when a Streamlight TLR-1 really isn't that much more expensive and is a better product.

      O light mini 2 is nice idc what anyone says. Y’all make assumptions on products you’ve never even tried or if you did I highly doubt have those issues. Think for yourselves. Same with high points. Have you ever owned one? Nope most haven’t but I bet you’ll say they are trash without trying it. Like anything in the world there’s a thing called quality control or QC issues. The majority of o lights are perfectly fine my guy.

      @andybars8672 I've personally seen them cone from the factory with connections soldered backwards or not connected at all. Watched one burn a hole in my buddy's pocket despite being "locked out" and turned off, and luckily he wasn't severely burned. He no longer uses them thankfully. Olight is garbage across the board.
