Hi Heath. My mates and I went to Gold Monkey 10/12/2023. 99bht chicken roast and large Singha for 100bht. I'm 188cm and 115k. It was enough for me. It's across the road from the beach and we had a lovely sea breeze. Staff were so friendly. Definitely recommended. Thanks for the video.

Wow what an incredible video Heath. The Sunday Roast Beef dinner no matter where it's located is incredible. When you add in the mashed potatoes, gravy and carrots it's a grand slam homerun 😂😂

Cheap Charlies on Soi 5 is fantastic. The owner is a great guy whom talks to his customers and keeps an eye on the staff. I had the Yorkshire pudding for about 120 baht and also the sheppherds pie there. Absolutely fantastic.

An informatively excellent video on the local restaurants of Jomtien. The first roast dinner was incredible value, the second perfectly adequate and the chicken, double cheese kebab was also a fairly good value too. However I recall firstly the kebab lady halfway through Soi 8, who used to expect me about 2:45am daily and used to give extra everything for a mere 40-50 baht ( 2009-2014) then I used the guy on the S-bend by Easy-Corner bar on Soi Buakhao in the market place, I think he'd charge 60-80 baht and give a larger portion and extra, extra spicy 🔥. Due to a current leg injury I'll have to give South East Asia a miss this Xmas, but I'll hopefully have the funds for a February/March visit.

A good scrap book of Sunday Roasts thanks Heath. My go 2 place has been Cheap Charlies of late. I believe the Sunday Roasts in there are priced at 99 Baht if you have a reward card which I think has increased in price from 199 Baht to 299 Baht? Still worth the price as it gets you one of the many daily specials they offer and a extra cup of tea or coffee at Breakfast if my memory serves me right? One final thing, which market were you visiting when you purchased the 110 Baht chicken kebab? Where in relation to Soi Welcome plse?

What I found with Gold Monkey is its gimmick free, they don't sell loyalty cards they expect to earn the loyalty and give discounted and fresh food, I might add, automatically.

I just got back from Jomtien and it was over run with Russians. I guess it’s not a bad thing for the Thai tourism industry considering the Chinese have stopped coming to Thailand 🇹🇭. I did see a couple of drunken Russian louts in jomtien but that’s to be expected from a vodka loving nation. I was surprised at how many coughing old ladies in the massage parlours. They told me it was long Covid. All in all it was a good stay in Jomtien and I’ll be back.
You're right. Regardless of nationality, Thailand needs all the tourists it can get.

(1) Collect and publish images of probably-unaware patrons inside a private business -- he could have shown some discretion;
(2) Utter the ethnic slur about being relieved he didn't "have to" listen to "Isaan music" -- he could have just said "music (in general)";
(3) Inferring and then implying (as you just did) my reasonable question was somehow homophobia-driven -- it wasn't;

I think many people look for the benefits of Thailand (climate, low cost-of-living, healthcare, etc.), but still want the occasional American or British meal. Besides, this option helps attract tourists who may otherwise be too timid to try Thai food.
