  • We get tons of questions on Hub-Centric Rings. Questions like "Do I really need them?" and "What size hub ring do I need?". Hub Rings are really pretty simple because they only have a single purpose - centering your wheel upon installation. If you've ever encountered wheel vibration of any kind, you know it can be annoying. One of the most common causes for wheel vibration is a wheel that isn't mounted hub-centrically - and a HUB RING can solve that.
    In this episode, we're going over why Hub Rings are a good idea and what they actually do. We'll tell you EXACTLY what kind of hub-ring you should be looking for, and we'll show you how to install them.
    00:07 - what is a Hub-Centric Ring and Why use them?
    00:33 - a Hub-Ring does NOT bear weight of any kind

    That was the best explanation I've had.

    What is so troubling that when you take your vehicle to a dealership and they rotate your tires some don't understand or look out for vehicles that have hub centric rings and reinstall the tires incorrectly that is a big problem.

      We see this happen a lot actually. Dealerships in general are working with OE wheels, and OE wheels don't require hub-rings because the centerbore and hub size is made to fit together perfectly.
      For some reason, we've found it's necessary to tell the dealership or mechanic to make sure they don't forget the hub rings. We feel your frustration on that.

    I have a 2019 Lincoln nautilus with 21 inch wheels, can you help me with the measurements so I can purchase?

      Sure. The hub size for a 19' Nautilus is 63.4mm. So you'll need a hub-centric ring with an inner diameter of 63.4mm, and an outer diameter to match the centerbore of the wheel.

    need metal ones on a vw/audi plastic hub center rings gave vibration, aluminum rings took care of the issues 10/10 times

      Material would make no difference here, however if the sizing doesn't matchup, that could be the reason for vibration.

      Which ones to order if my car is bmw f36 ?

    • @konigwheels
      @konigwheels  Před 4 měsíci

      the hub-size of a F36 is 72.56mm (72.6). You'll need a hub-ring with an inner diameter of 72.6. Also, we have wheel options with a centerbore of exactly 72.6mm as well so in those cases, you wouldn't need a hub ring. @@zdenkocicak1881
