How many times do you see someone successful who is not smarter than you, not more talented, and you think to yourself - “how come he is more successful than me? He is so stupid” Well, stupid is not a very accurate definition because it’s subjective, but how can we explain that so many people who are considered to be smart are not successful?
Thank you for watching! Hope you enjoyed :)

The "smart" people are easily convinced that college is the next obligatory step.
Those that don't follow tend to find other opportunities.

stupidity can be a blessing in disguise.
I too find myself quite often overthinking everything instead of just doing it.
I also couldve started my own thing, my channel, a long time ago. But I got caught
in thinking of all the potential things that could happen. As a result i procrastinated
as I do quite often. Sometimes we have to jump over that our shadow and just do it.
Maybe it turns out better then expected!

Conscientiousness being #2 (e.g. orderliness, dutifulness, responsibility, gratitude, etc.). However, intelligence alone isn't sufficient for success (however one defines it). Hierarchies are primarily competence based. i.e. Want it? Put in the work.

Yes, in general I agree. However, there were a Few things missing:
1.) Who you happen to know is very often more important than what you know (my friend got a great job at Costco because his aunt was a friend of a manager)
2.) Parenting. People who have great coaches/role models for parents, and a better environment/conditions are far more likely to succeed. Parents passing down knowledge and wisdom to their kids is very important. (Eg, parents who pass on the family business to their kids, good life coaches, give great advice, etc).
    3. Having a Better start, financially. Eg, Parents paid their way thru college, or gave them money to make investments, gave money to start a business, etc.
    4. Luck. Sometimes, ppl just get lucky. My friend (not that smart) happened to buy a house in 2008 in Seattle bc that's when he was starting a family. In the past 13 years, real estate sky rocketed in Seattle. Thru no deliberate planning of his own, he made capital gains of 300K on his house. He never even considered this when making the purchase.

Thats why its common for police/medical/trades familys. you grow up with it, have a good knowledge base of it, learning it comes easier. Outside of unions....... less so of the who you know attitude, more so of the whos-the-best-slave attitude.

In front of a goal post do you wait until a clear chance then you shoot and even then the ball might not even go in. So encourage to shoot even if there is half a chance

@Dr. Paul Southerland, M.D. College is not as bad as high school, middle school, etc. I was really only talking about everything before college and mainly american public schools. I can't explain anything in detail because most people are too slow to read more than 2 sentences. Regardless, the point you made doesn't in any way disprove my theory. Them deciding who becomes a medical doctor only means they have power over the healthcare system, that doesn't make them trustworthy (the government). These days, most people who major in anything outside of the medical field will find themselves jobless for a very long time so your perspective is a little biased as you are the exception. The pledge of allegiance, assigned seating, having to ask for permission to do anything are a few examples of the government preparing us for the factories. We were taught to obey the teacher without question and you're lying to yourself if you say anything otherwise. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'd rather be paranoid than gullible.

In the stone age, the strong and stupid brute brought home the meat, and everybody loved him. The smart guy was not so tall, strong, or brawny, and was laughed at and ridiculed by everyone when he suggested that "we share meat".
He was also the small and weak loser who wasn't allowed to sleep near the fire and eat with the rest of the tribe, and lived outside the cave and ate the scraps everybody else threw outside. The modern equivilent still applies today.

    • @Yuilen
      @Yuilen Před 3 lety +2

This never happened, that's a complete myth. Humans were originally families, communities of families living together, not idiotic cavemen, and intelligent humans have always been of use to society and have always had a place of respect in the community. Rather, the emphasis on brute strength as opposed to cunning and intellect is entirely a cultural preference rather than a societal or human one. This unhistorical fictional bullshit narrative you and so many others are spinning needs to end.

@@Yuilen People naturally form hierarchies in order of social and economic dominance. In the ancient past, and throughout most of human history this was mostly the men who could hunt and fight for the tribe. Although this concept went through many incarnations over the ages, the basic idea remains the same. Women look for capability, men look for youth and beauty. In the 21st century, meager and sickly men who develop their intellect to compensate for their lack of direct physical power in the past would've been labeled either crazy, or branded as a foolish eccentric for his silly ideas that didn't pertain to practical matters or concerns, they have more tools to learn, share information, and navigate their way through the world. But our digitized world is fragile and delicate. In the event of a power outage or other long term disaster, calamity, or cataclysm where there is no internet to keep systems and servers running, and really, no running water, or working infrastructure to speak of, people in like for example a collapse of social order in an urban area with no food delivery, no waste removal, no running water, or electricity, and no rule of law, will revert back to their primal instincts and what will they do? They will form groups for protection, and the pooling of resources. Who will dominate these groups? Alpha men who are tall, charismatic, strong, secure in themselves, and know what they stand for, and know what they are capable of when things go wrong. Does this describe some whiny socialism sympathizing loser who complains about inequality? NO. The woman will be instinctively compelled to follow these top men who run things, because that's how women are wired.
The modern woman is only strong because her independence is propped up by society.
By default, humans form hierarchies based on power, resources, and social influence.
She doesn't want the dork who the group picks on, as that will threaten her perceived status amongst her peers.

The movie “Envy” showcases this theme. The smart guy has a dumb neighbor that says he’s going to invent a spray that makes dog poo disappear, obviously the smart guy tells the dumb neighbor that this is impossible and a terrible idea. The dumb neighbor didn’t even know how the spray would work, he just wanted it to exist. Well, the spray somehow works and the dumb neighbor becomes a millionaire and builds a new gigantic mansion on the same property that overshadows the smart guy’s house. Dumb movie, but I highly recommend it!

The guy you are talking about most likely got bad grades and was a trouble maker at school because he was wise enough to realise that school education is just insidious conditioning and brainwashing and is not the key to success. He sounds like he was just rebellious and a free thinker, not following the herd like the rest of the apathetic students. This is because he is actually not stupid at all, but very clever and perceptive. He knew something you didn't and that's why he's a successful millionaire and you are doing a monotonous 9 to 5 job.
Just because someone doesn't fit into the establishments left brained education system doesn't mean they are stupid. In fact they are often the most intelligent and progressive people.
These people are often the mavericks, the original free thinkers, the inventors, the one's who think outside the box, the true visionaries who find success in life.

In fact, they can actually use this to their advantage, if there were too many entrepreneurs that are highly empathic business would fail more often, perhaps not make as much money. I.e. “Oh I’ll just give them a discount, So they stop being mad at me. They’re probably really struggling.” Not being aware that the customer ain’t struggling, they’re just full of crap.
