  • We travelled to Wymore, NE to check out Watt's Repair and Auto Salvage. We have been here before and haven't been to cover this massive salvage yard. i wanted to see if they still had a 65 Biscayne 2 door post I saw the last time I was here.

    I'm guess I'm 5 hours from you roughly. I have a 65 Impala 4 door post dark blue original paint parrot the front clip is gone. Door exterior handles are gone. We used it for parts and so did the guy before us. But I think it's been off the road since around 73 so the body's pretty nice. I believe it was a 327 automatic car powerglide. Why am I bringing this to your attention because if you do get that 65 two-door and you need some parts. and what's left of this four-door is of interest to you. Well like I said I like your channel you're an honest hard-working guy you're bringing us these junkyard videos and other videos. Very sweet deal for you. I thought that even if somebody use the rear quarters as patch panels for around the fender well of a two-door it be worth their time. Now I don't know how good the trunk floor is because the taillights have been removed and truck is still shut but they could let water in over the years. All the glasses in it. I got an idea that the windshield might be cracked because when I was fifteen I thought I might try my skill at taking it out. I think I'm not sure. But it is still in there. Oh it's nopales of course it has three lights across the back each side. I've got my great-uncle's 4 door belair that's complete. 2:30 inline-six with a three-speed. In any case I have not looked at either one of these two cars in a while. If you're not interested that's okay too. I've seen a few cars I'm interested out there. Also out around West Virginia Ohio area there were a couple of those 65 two doors. One of them maybe a 66. I don't recall. Be glad to give you any leads on might have if you want to travel halfway across the country could get to them.

  • @CAROLDDISCOVER-FINDER2525

    ROAD TRIP! Thanks for showing us his yard. I had heard about it and a couple of others in the journal neighborhood. General neighborhood might be 150 miles and some direction. That was a 1960 Impala at 5 minutes and 9 seconds. Still a sought after car. but if that was a 1959 Impala convertible. Wow talk about gold mind.
    The 71 grill in the trunk was for air flow positive airflow. It would come in on trout and exit through the rear. My guess is that it didn't work that well so they did not do it again.

    My first car at 16 was a 1969 Chevy Impala Custom Coupe with a big block 396. I paid $300 for it in 1979, and it was a totally stock car, but still had a lot of power. Good thing I never put a 4 barrel and other hotrod parts on it, or I probably wouldn't be writing this today.lol Still on the lookout for an old builder car, even a 4 door or station wagon. My mom had a 1969 Kingswood wagon that I learned to drive in, and it was white, so we called it the Great White Buffalo. That car was so big it had its own zip code. When you can parralel park a beast like that, you know you are ready to drive. Love these tours of these old salvage yards full of rusty classics. It brings back a lot of really good memories from way back in the day.

    37:00. That’s a ‘67 Cougar (standard). Just as you point out on ‘67 Chevies... in ‘68 the side marker lights show up - quickest way to tell them apart! It would have had a 289 it most likely, although 390s were available. Thanks for the tour!!!

    I the beginning of this video you said that the gold colored car was a big block after looking under the hood. You are wrong about that. the distributor is at the back of the engine in the middle of the block closer to the firewall. Only small block engines had the distributor there. The big block engines had the distributor up front on an angle on the passenger side ( left side looking at it from the front of the car.if you are going to talk about cars or engines learn what they are before posting you videos,

    Its a shame some of these cars should have been raised off the dirt and several should be covered.... sadly most if you sent to a blaster would come back as no viable to be restored and are now just parts cars

  • @resurrectionmotors2421

    As I wipe all the drool off my chin from all those awesome cars do you know the people at that junkyard and if titles or accompanied with the purchase of the vehicles cuz it would suck to get a project car and not have no paperwork

    • @RebeldryversGarage
      @RebeldryversGarage  Před 3 lety

      I do know the owners and I will tell you expecting to have titles to 100's of cars that have been in the yard for decades is not realistic. Ones they have purchased recently may still have them, but I wouldn't get my hopes up on most of them.
