I just rebuilt a used xmaxx i bought off of eBay. Looking forward to its maiden run. Its a great addition to my fleet lol. Your video will have to scratch the itch for now. Subscribed!
I was like yep this "last one" is going to break something this time. Although, I bet it had already started to break, fracture after all those previous humongous jumps(which were awesome btw).
awesome bash with your Xmaxx ..if you want some good back flips with great handling ..get the Max 6 esc and get 24 tooth pinion with 46 tooth spur ..you be amazed
Taking the pins out and setting the mesh yourself does help but your always going to end up stripping spurs and pinions unless you got really durable ones. The xmaxx is the most durable out there with being plastic but that comes at a price, which is a lot of flex in the chassis on landings and bad landing which can make your mesh move during inpact from sending it due to the flexibility. Keep the truck light as possible, badlands are no good. Other then that nice video man
It’s not a loose gear mesh problem..on mine anyway the Traxxas pin set up was way to tight , when the chassis flexes it jammed the gear and poof that pot metal broke every time , I pulled the pins and made the gear mesh wider and boom never happened again.
See mine was being set too loose. Either way ditching the pins and manually setting seems to fix the problem. But the put metal gears have never been my favorite. I always swap to hardened steel gears.
@@Oni_Blxck I love the badlands. Yup last time I took the stock xmaxx out three tires flew off instantly at once. It was crazy. Flew off in one big flap each. Gonna just put my new xrt tires on it for now. I never drive it hardly. My top three of mine XRT DBXLE super Baja Rey.bgonna put the badlands with 1" spacers on the Dbxle now. Cheers! 🍻
Kind of. If you get the Bluetooth module for the controller you can adjust it a little. I’ll probably show it in the next xmaxx video I make but it’s called throttle response instead of punch.
Not with the stock setup. At minimum you’ll need new gears to even get wheelies. Backflips don’t exist if you don’t change the esc. I was really let down when I first got it because I thought the same thing. It’s very under powered and there’s much better options out there for the money.

lol thanks man. I’m sure you’ll have a blast with it 🤙🏻
Well, you definitely called it with "just one more" lol... Great video!
lol it happens every time. Thanks man I appreciate it 🤙🏻
If you could do a video on how to do it that would be awesome
I got you. I’ll get on it as soon as I can. Keep an eye on the channel.
That’s a pretty sweet bash spot!
Thanks. I really like it. That hill destroys a lot of cars
Love it!!

Thanks 🤙🏻I love sending stuff to the moon. It most likely had but the “one more” always gets it lol
I have HR steel gears in mine and don't use the pins to set mesh.
That’s what I had to do as well and now the gears are fine. I could never get the pins to set the mesh tight enough.
That was nuts😊
Thank you. It was a blast to film 🤙🏻

Thanks man. And good advice. I’m debating between the 5 and the 6. Haven’t quite decided which way I want to go motor wise.
You’re probably going to have temp issues if you hear it that high.
I run 46/22 and so far Temps stay under 140 but in the summer it may be a different story

A bash bar may fix that but I haven’t had any issues thus far
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🤙🏻

Those tires do nnot balloon so no flip as gooda. But badlands are my fav
They’re pretty awesome and I’m glad they don’t or I’d destroy them lol

That’s awesome man they’re great on the DB. 🤘🏻
Just got my 2nd one other day the up grade one just came out
The upgrades are nice. Traxxas did a good job. Idk if they hold up yet but time will tell
Do Traxxas have punch settings to make it fast so the front end get up ?

I thought the X-Max would do wheelies on demand

Mine wheelies from stock. No problem.
Top notch Traxxas quality control I guess🤷🏻
@@sanderromer6490 mine on 8s will do a standing backflip on stock electronics
Been racing rc's for 35 years, you need the softer tire to take the blunt
Buy basherbodies ... the toughest body's out there
I’ll have to check those out
@@Oni_Blxck look in my channel .. i have a playlist from them
Is this 6S?
No it’s 8S
Get rid of the Badland tires and wheels, to much weight and to hard. They suck and weigh to much.
They don’t balloon enough for the xmaxx but they’re perfect on my DBXLE
