Do you know if Taschen are working on any more new Marvel series? Perhaps The Incredible Hulk. Either way, huge respect for their marvelous works. I'm saving up on getting The Silver Surfer and X-men, and am hoping Vol. 1 comes out for Spider-man, would be awesome!
@@TaylorTalksComics I also don't know if you have in your collection, but Taschen's The Stan Lee Story would be a fantastic addition! It is currently out of stock, but I've been in touch with Taschen through email and they told me they do plan on doing an XL reprinting of The Stan Lee Story, and possibly reprinting of the comics in future but it might be in quite some time.. So do keep an eye on Taschen website if this interests you as well! Either way, Taschen's works are top quality in my opinion, and I'm actually suddenly becoming a new fan of the marvel comics thanks to the unpacking reviews online and love of the movies, and learning about Stan Lee's inspiration and working with wonderful artists to craft such genius!
Just ordered this today, I’ve been waiting for the prefect version and this is it! I have marvel unlimited but I prefer reading scans. I wish all collected editions were colored like this.
Great overview as always, Taylor. I love Ditko's artwork and this is perhaps the best showcase of it. I’d like to purchase one of these TASCHEN books at some point… Thanks for showing it off!
These collections are tempting. I am glad to see the line doing well enough for volume 2. Ps... I am in the market for volume 2 and 3 of webhead omnibus.
I have volumes 2-5 of Spider-Man! I plan to do a Spider-Man reading order and haven’t decided if I’ll be holding onto those omnibuses afterward. Shelf space is at a premium! But, don’t wait for me. This could be a while! I have so much to read. In the meantime… I’ll keep my eyes peeled for you!

@@fireboy312002 yea! I love the DM cover and wanted it badly. But, I’m not mad about being stuck with the Frank Cho cover. That’s one of the best of these modern DJ covers for classic material I’ve seen
I heard the quality of the paper or restoration extent is different between Tachen spidey vols 1 and 2. Is that right? Also is vol 1 getting a reprint?
I didn’t notice a difference in paper quality. But, there have been people that pointed out that a few panels/pages had some colors changed here and there in the second volume (and Silver Surfer).
I remember the plastic blow-up pillows back in the day. Don't remember having a Marvel one, though. Could take them to the beach, local pool, lake, river, etc, even use them for swimming or water games with friends. Also a nice camping pillow to stick under one's sleeping bag. And, regarding your one friends quibbles, at least Taschen isn't re-coloring the characters in the panels like Marvel is with their collected editions. I'll have to Google the one Pin-up page, though.
I remember inflatable furniture, pillows, couches etc. Very popular in the ‘90s when I was a kid. But, I’ve never seen or heard of these Marvel ones from the ‘60s! And I agree! I much prefer this style of restoration over the “Marvel Masterworks” style.
@TaylorTalksComics The Marvel Masterworks Style is now the newly re-done Omnibus restored artwork. And, it's also being used for Epic Collections. So, outside of owning an original floppy, this seems to be the best way to read these comics as originally published.
@TaylorTalksComics Oh, and I got my Omni Vol 1 you mentioned from Jess. My son loves Jess to bits, so I'll probably keep the Omni to pass onto my son when he's outgrown his Mighty Marvel Masterworks versions of Ditko's Spider-Man, and have something that once was Jess' as well.

@@fireboy312002 for real! I normally always go DM covers, but for volume 4 I had to take the standard edition. I’m actually getting that in this week.
