@@maniswolftoman The point is definitely to get really good at telling jokes -- comedy for the sake comedy. But artistic pursuit can coexist with the goal of making a livable income. People just want to see their favourite comedians to achieve that goal. Cause we all know that they tend to struggle with that. Very few comedians get anywhere near as successful, or have nearly as much career longevity as Norm McDonald.
