    This was a ton of fun to watch. I think two major points helped Patrick win this - one, he had a solid pre-sketch that included lighting, and two, the biggest mistake you made was trying to do a human figure *in a time limit,* which definitely costs a lot of time to get right in Stable Diffusion. Good work all around!
    I'd love to see more of these with Patrick and any other AI artists you can dredge up on YT. Cheers dude!

      Thanks! Yep, that’s exactly my mistake. Sometimes it’s good to run against a wall like that 🤪 ideally not in a challenge, though.

    Keep up with these long direct or indirect tutorials like this one, they are amazing! Every tutorial you pass a lot of pratical information and this requires its time.

    This format of seeing the whole process uncut is really cool. So impressive how fast you are... and that even you make sometimes mistakes😉 Wonder how the end-result would have looked if you changed earlier the correct model. But both of your results are awesome.

    I really like to watch your process of making from concept to final image using SD Web UI, and your're right, there is still the need for an artist behind an AI tool. Well done to both of you and I am eager to watch and learn more from you. Thank you.

    Hi, Albert. Watching your channel since the start. Wish you make more videos with your original content) In the challenge your work looks like a good concept art and your opponent work looks more like a finished artwork. Both looks great for a hour mark.
    Do you use outpainting method? If so, can you make a tutorial about it or try it for yourself if not.

    • @albertbozesan

      Thanks! Will do. I haven’t tried outpainting yet.

    I think Patrick won this one, but I loved your Sarcophagus. I think if you did Sarcophagus alone you would win.

      Thanks, what a nice thing to say 😄
      Yeah I was overly ambitious with this one. Patrick had a better understanding of the AI’s strengths and what can be done in an hour. A deserved win!

    I’ve been trying to make old illustrations from local history books into more painterly or photorealistic versions with prompts alone and I think I’m going to have to do a layered photoshop thing like this with them. Way too much detail to describe in a prompt. Since it’s just for fun/curiosity I’d be happy to share the starting image if you need another challenge. 😇 😂

    • @albertbozesan
      @albertbozesan  Před rokem +3

      That's a really cool idea! I see the biggest challenge in keeping the details accurate. Feel free to send me a comparison pic of the start and your results, could also be a nice video.

    Patrick won this one, hands down. I think the main problem is that you picked something too ambitious and so couldn't refine it as much as it needed. I would be curious to see you making a video on a more complex art like this one and how you would go about it without the timelimit.

    • @albertbozesan
      @albertbozesan  Před rokem +4

      Yep. This loss bothered me enough that I spent hours today figuring out how to get good movie art 😅 should be a video coming soon.

      It was more of a fun collaboration than a competition but I appreciate the sentiment. I played pretty hard to the strengths of AI by doing a landscape with small figures. Honestly blown away that with what Albert achieved, it can be super hard to get cohesive figures with two hands (especially holding a shovel). Either way hopefully everyone enjoyed the videos and learned something from it.
