The CQB helmet always reminded me of those padded helmets used in wrestling competition.

Interesting armor details. Halo seems to have the most interesting type of armors compared to other genres. Well Doom also has some pretty good details to it's weapons, monsters, and such.

Yeah they do. I think the Doomslayer has some of the strongest armor in a science fantasy setting out there if you ask me even if he doesn't really need it but it is a great aid to him.
Absolutely love the sheer number of armour variants and permutations in Halo. All of them feel like they serve particular roles and the background details behind them feel like an actual military force working to iron out various kinks or provide equipment for specific purposes and scenarios

This is the first time in a while I’ve been excited to immerse myself in Halo lore again. This is good stuff right here.

My favorite armor. My Halo identity. I don't feel connected to a Halo game without it. One of the main reasons I haven't been bothering with Infinte. I was shocked to see this post. I love CQB so much, I even have a spot full of CQB merch on my shelf.

The CBQ armor, specifically the helmet has always been my favorite throughout the halo games. It just looks so clean. Really sucks how it wasn’t released during season 1 of halo infinite

The CQB helmet was my favorite in H3. I can’t remember what chest and should I had, but I definitely remember the helmet being my favorite. Then I unlocked recon after a random game with a bungie employee. Good times, simpler times.

I'm curious about the Hazmat armor since it looks a tad like a Stormtrooper, I was curious how the CBRN works.
Somebody had a laugh when they decided that one of the companies making MJOLNIR stuff is named "Beweglichkeitsrüstungsysteme".
It's even better since it isn't out of place for a German company name. Just the simple omission of an official abbreviation or interchangeable translation and you have a perfectly lore reasonable manufacturer, which results in hilarity whenever anyone, who doesn't know German tries to pronounce this seemingly random alphabet salad.
This is the series I’ve been waiting years for someone to make! I should have known it would have to come from the best!

Which armour to cover next? COMMANDO-class Mjolnir (or *MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/K variant* as it's apparently called) from Reach, the best Mjolnir variant there is.

My all time favorite armor! I remember playing Reach with this armor on, and using the shotgun and energy sword as my main weapons.

Well it's what happens when you try to pronounce Beweglichkeitsrüstungsysteme without knowing German. The direct translation is "Mobility Armor Systems", in case you didn't know.

CQB is 1000% my favorite part of Halo. Maxed out that in my Reach commendations before anything else.
Edit: RIP my Halo Reach service record. I used to look at it every once and a while. At least I have screenshots for some of my best matches.

I would really like a breakdown for the Dynast GEN 2 and the Brawler GEN 3 variants respectively as they are close to the CQB.

Apart from wanting an expanded history of the classic MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor, and the variants such as MJOLNIR: Black, Project HAYABUSA, Project MELAENO’s Orion Armor, Project HRUNTING’s Mark I exoskeleton, the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I ADS and the Semi-Powered Infiltration armor, I do have a short list on MJOLNIR armor variants I’d want to see a breakdown of:

PILOT-class
AVIATOR-class
AKIS
MP-class
RAKSHASA-class
GUNGNIR-class
STORMFALL-class
Mariner
EOD-class
RECON-class
VENATOR-class
PREFECT-class
RECRUIT-class
And if you’re open to the Fractures timelines, my top pick would be the Blackguard armor.
I love CQB. I have it on my Spartan now.

As a German, can confirm he did sound like he had a stroke.
To be fair, Beweglichkeits-Rüstungssysteme (Mobility Armor Systems) is not what I would consider to be easily roling of the tongue
edit: Repeating it a few times does make it sound more and more like what it is supposed to be

I noticed on MCC they messed up the shoulders on Halo 3 with the original shoulder pieces.

I like it. It looks to be a tried & truly tested from years ago while the ones in Halo 3 seems mass manufactured to counter the Covenant in any way possible.
I would love a halo game of spartan v Spartan, no shields, and their armor is almost completely bulletproof (only damaging the spartan if a bullet slips through a gap in the armor)

The cqb helmet is my favorite. Video was an insta click. Kinda annoying it isn't in infinite yet hopefully they give us some good attachments

I don't think you have done the EVA armor yet. That's my preferred helmet and is also worn by my favorite spartan Kelly on her older armor models.

8:20 Wouldn't the CQB shoulder pads leave a bit of a weak spot at the very top of the shoulder? I get that the undersuit is still armor in its own right but I feel like that could be an exploitable weakness.
Yes buts also to increase mobility in the joints
Protection is good but in hand to hand youd want your joints to be mobile
