This dude has the subtle power behind his voice like George Jones and that voice mixed with the Merle Haggard like style on this song is nothing short of spectacular

We spent a couple of days in Southern New Mexico last October. I love the state and I haven't even seen the northern part which is supposed to be even nicer. Las Cruces is a wonderful little city. Be sure to eat at La Posta, an awesome Mexican Restaurant.

He wasn't nominated for a cma. He did win a Grammy for album of the year. During the CMAs he busked outside. There is a great video of it.

I was thinking why Sturgill's DI'd guitar sounded so lush and so much like an acoustic guitar then saw who posted the video.
The first ever Uber I got in the South was a guy in a Dodge Ram called Chad. I told him I was surprised that he was driving such a vehicle, as every Uber driver in NZ is in a Toyota Prius. He paused for one very long second then replied, "well... in my opinion.... real man drives a truck".
