The eat/tax the rich thing is always funny because celebrities and politicians will say it, but only for people richer than them.
Yes. I can only imagine the person with five kids on food stamps seeing that stuff. It's like, you gotta be kidding me. Politicians are the problem, not the rich. But they don't want you to know that, so they divert your attention and blame it on them.
They are generally way more wealthy than we are... but apparently they don't count... just gross.
@@thegrandpencil4374exactly - here in Australia and most parts of the world the idea is you make millions - you then pay a bunch of taxes and the government's role is to use those taxes to ensure people who may not have had the advantages get access to good programs etc. etc. first you eat the politicians who misappropriate the funds - the rich are supposed to be focused on building wealth etc. as you're leveraging their brains and focus - and then you tax them to help others but then it doesn't work that way.

I own a business and I literally pay no taxes; there are so many loopholes that I use to write it off. And guess what? Rich people wrote the tax code that way. I understand the complaint, but don't hate the player, hate the game.
I don't have any answers but calling poor people lazy is wrong. The women I get breakfast tacos from wakes up at 3 AM and starts preparing and the cops constantly harass her with permits and licenses and all sorts of nonsense. I know her daughter and they are just getting by. So people need to stop calling poor people lazy; doesn't help.
Governments problem. Every person in America could be well off if the government didn't need to have such high taxes and so much inflation. Not to mention the Government artificially constricts the supply of Goods and Services with regulations, as your taco lady points out. Think of the harassment she deals with!

@@closingtheloop2593 You haven't accurately described Musk's vision for Twitter. The idea (aspirational) is that X becomes an "everything app" integrating audio, video, messaging, payments and AI.
I have no idea if people will like the final product but he's made good improvement to Twitter so far, audio and video capability have dramatically improved. With his experience at PayPal don't think it's a stretch to assume he can challenge Venmo integrating payments. The AI work is progressing well. He helped start OpenAI so he knows that arena well. Twitter usage has increased since his purchase so it seems like he has a decent chance of realizing some of his vision.
I have no idea if he will be successful. It's just annoying when people mischaracterize someone else and then argue against the thing they never said.

Hate speech should be answered with humor, and not in a bluntly demeaning, insulting, offensive way but in a clever and wise way that would illustrate how the points of hate speech are wrong, but in an indirect absurd and most importantly CLEVER and WISE way, kind of like Monty Python skits. I think it would be perfect if every response to hate speech, stupidity, propaganda and populism from all the specters of politics would be answered with a Monty Python-esque skit. It should be made in such way that even the one saying the hate/stupid/populist/propaganda speech would laugh at the skit himself.

Well sorry you implied that. My point was general. I'm not from the USA so neither know much about nor care about the politics of the woman in the dress.
Watching things like the Oscars and other awards ceremonies where multi millionaires talk about the plight of the poor and the evils of capitalism.
They could keep say 1 or 2 million - and invest the rest of their money into humanitarian aid and issues and developments whenever they wanted to. Or just projects that employed people on good salaries to do productive things. The fact so many choose not to means that - to me at least - their words are hollow. I don't mind people being rich, as rich as they like. But don't be worth tens of millions then start preaching to people much poorer and less fortunate than themselves about the evils of capitalism. Pick a side.

@@70two41five He is paid in stocks which aren't taxed until they're sold. He uses those billions in unrealized gains to leverage bank loans. No one is saying Tesla doesn't pay their fair share, just him.

You skipped the next part where he uses the loans to create new businesses which in turn create more jobs. Become an employer and you can enjoy these benefits as well. In the US, the rich pay a disproportionate amount of taxes despite claims of "tax shelters" and "tax loopholes". The information is readily available at irs.gov. And, if you can read Excel spreadsheets, you can easily see that the top 10% of household income pay 80% of all US income taxes (which is any household making $125,000/yr+). They literally subsidize the middle and lower classes in US society. But since they are outnumbered, it's easy to gang up on them and claim they don't pay their "fair share".
And say what you will about capitalism, but it has lifted more people out of poverty than any other socio-economic method in human history.

By the shear fact of how percentages work the rich pays more tax in hard dollars, than the average person does because they earn more, so stop complaining.
If you have done hard labor you would know people who are rich don't get there by sitting on their butt expecting handouts.
