This guys is funny. Ben Simmons has not been a good NBA player for the better part of 2.5 years. Its not just the injuries. Simmons was benched while playing from the Nets. Its ok to say to just say the trade is completely a salary dump. You don't have smooth it over with fake scouting reports.

If you did a crazy trade like Lavine for Simmons. Brooklyn would have to throw in 1st from Brooklyn
The purpose of this trade is to not have to pay Lavine 150 million. Lavine isn’t doing anything for the Bulls. Get out of that contract ASAP, so we can have space for others that can help the Bulls.

Why the nets who is rebuilding trade for Lavine for Simmons when Simmons is on his last year on his deal and injury prone trade another injury prone player in Lavine who got three more years on his contract and go thru the same dam nightmare. Patrick, I still think they should just trade Zack Levine straight up for Kawhi Leonard from the Clippers!!! The Bulls can still be competitive in the east if they make that trade.
You don't get it yet, do you? The Bulls have no intentions of becoming competitive. This is a pure tank to keep that 10 protected Spurs for next years draft. If they had intentions of competing, they would keep Zach and Derozan as they were competing with them but not making it.

Please learn basketball. Ben is on his last deal for one year for like 40 million, and lavine got 3 years 138 million. You can keep Ben for one year, let him walk, and then you will all that cap space following year to rebuild and attract free agents. But nets not stupid to do that dumb deal. I would definitely do the Lavine trade for Simmons and try to keep Derozan to help with the locker room with all the young players, If Derozan wants that role. If he’s chasing a Championship it’s definitely not with Bulls, then move him on.
