Absolutely NO trade packages that include Bulls 1st round picks.
Here's what confirms the ineptness of Bulls management....we've seen teams like the Celtics, Knicks, and Jazz tear their teams down, and trade away vet players for tons of draft picks, while the Bulls would probably have to give up several draft picks to get rid of their vets. It's a sad time to be a Bulls fan.
No need to show Simmons stats. Nobody expects him to play. Only thing that matters is that he's an expiring contract. Nothing more than a salary dump.
Bulls definitely need more depth @ PF & C. Simmons is 6'10" & 240 Lb. he should be able to play both PF & C.

@@johnbrennan4449 I agree with dumping all those players you mentioned. If Bulls can trade Zach for Simmons it would be strictly for his expiring contract. I would not expect Simmons to play a single game for the Bulls. This season is all about developing young players and keeping that protected pick.
@@szymonm81 Simmons is still young, still only 27, though he will be 28 in a little more than a week from now. he simply needs to grow up & mature mentally.

I totally agree. as bad as GarPax was, this current front office might even be more incompetent. never should have traded for Vucevic. should have traded LaVine 3 years ago, while re-signing Markkanen to a long-term contract extension. should have traded Drummond 5 months ago, @ the deadline for 3 second-rounders, instead of letting him walk for no compensation.
Letting him walk for nothing would also be fireable and no free agent would want to ever come here if we just lowball our free agents

AKME should have never traded for Vucevic, instead keeping Wendell Carter, Lauri Markkanen & their draft picks. what was wrong with this starting 5?

Portland's 1st rd pick is top 14 protected until 2027. Portland would have to make the playoffs for the Bulls to get that pick, otherwise it becomes a 2nd round pick in 2028. Bulls will keep their pick in 2025 only if it lands in the top 10, otherwise it goes to the Spurs.

Because he was coming off of 2 All star appearances. At the time of his signing, he was a free agent, so he could have walked with the Bulls getting nothing( and he had some pretty good success in the 5 seasons he was with the bulls prior to his big max extension).
Now though, it's tough for the bulls. To see your highest paid guy, injury prone, bad vibes in the locker room, and seeing your team have MORE success while Lavine was injured. Really hurts staring at that 43m that will be owed, while the team is rebuilding.

Starters: Giddy, Coby, ZL, PWill, Vuc (Smith if Vuc is traded)
2nd team: Ball, Ayo, Buzelis, Craig, Smith
3rd team: Carter, Duarte, Javonte, Phillips, Sanoga

You don't either until it's confirmed and perhaps happens. Competing teams don't typically value late 1st rd picks in the midst of pursuing All Stars. It's not as if they're expecting those later 1st rd picks to even be somewhat significant factors until yr 3 or 3 tops. *It may be a "stacked" draft, but I guarantee no more than a dozen of those guys tops will ever make All Star appearances.

That means if the bulls are one of the shittiest teams we have our Pick, but if we are out of the top 10 then our pic goes to San Antonio. I don’t mind giving up two second round pics to get rid of Levine, but to give up a first round pick to move off of him is ridiculous.
When did I ever say anything about giving up our first round pick for next year? I said the Portland pick, the main reason I want to trade LaVine for dirt cheap is because we need our first for next year to convey. Thanks for watching!
