I have been eating rice my whole life. I'm into fitness and my diet which includes rice, hasn't affected my performance. Removing the starch( reason why blood sugar spikes up ) from rice cuts down most of the calories. Some people might be allergic to gluten which roti contains and thus it's difficult to digest. Indians are blessed with good genes, eat right and do any kind of physical activity everyday for a minimum of 45 minutes a day to maintain good health.

you may keep preference as, par boiled rice(brown rice in western terminology) >roti> basmati rice >maida(white flour). people who does eats good rice (which is the case, in most of the south indian and east indian states ) are very intelligent. ( noble prize winner is also from these states)

I never liked roti but after I was caught having blood pressure of 152/95 my doc advised me to have roti . I left rice for a week and took only roti and have my pressure checked which reduced to 130. Till now I’ve no issues of blood pressure and taking medicine regularly( only eat when needed)

But i just wana ask one thing.. my workout is intense.. i do three muscles a day so i consume 200-250gms uncooked white rice(measure it on weighing scale then boil them) everyday so is it gud.. Like u said having white rice everyday is not healthy.. if its not gud then wat alternative shud i go for.. if u cud help me with that.. wud really appreciate..

Total BS. White rice has been used as a staple diet in South India for centuries so I don't believe in this latest fad of sidelining white rice. Not everyone in South are diabetics patient or obese. It is true that Brown rice is better than white rice since it has more minerals and vitamins but it does come with a cons since some people might have trouble digesting it. White rice is also easy to digest so the issues about digestion and fiber not being there is total BS. Just watch your portion while eating white rice and you should be fine. For goodness sakes don't equate it with something like maida.

I am talking about lean as well. White rice is not related to obesity or fat. Whether it is white rice or whole wheat, the quantity you eat is what makes the difference between lean and fat. We sometimes confuse maida and white rice and consider it having similar side effects. There are different varieties of white rice and some have low GI and few have high GI. High GI food makes insulin to rise which causes hunger quickly. But we never eat just boiled white rice. We eat it along with Dal or curd or vegetables which should take care of the insulin rise. This is what I was trying to convey.
yup i accept👍....but it depends on body type......some guys can eat white rice ...and still stay lean for ever...........but majority. have..problem with white processed foods.....
