I had the same reaction. This was the first song I heard from The Warning on July 28th, 2021 and I immediately sent the link to a friend and said, "HOLY SH-T!!!" I'll never forget it. I had been warned.

I love this song, a lot of us were at its premiere, it's so epic. I get the feeling of taking a mini-adventure with a hint of suspense coupled with that primal scream, this is so energetic and one of my absolute favorites. They recently just released a live studio version of this one, you should check that one out.
Time to Evolve, let's go.
Aside from the exceptional time signature changes creating a complete composition that doesn’t change time just to do it as a gimmick, Pau’s fills to transition in and out of those changes are incredible. Each one is different and each is spectacular. You never tire of a Warning song because there is no repetition. Yes, elements repeat…but they never feel like they repeat. Absolutely brilliant.

I remember first hearing and watching this video, and it was late at night, and I can’t remember how many times I watched it before I finally had to get to sleep. They are 1st an amazing rock band composed by incredibly talented musicians and singers, the fact they are 3 sisters who are quite young and from Mexico are just details.

BTW, as a drummer I can tell you, they change time signature from 4/4 to 7/4. They say it is 7/8, but I would have to see the sheet music. If the rest of the song is 4/4, then it is 7/4. If the song is in 4/8 (very odd) then it is 7/8. Jus' sayin'

Yeah Tom. It drives me crazy when I hear reactors, even some who are supposedly musicians, call this 7/8 time. There is a time change, but there is no tempo change. A quarter note is still a quarter note, therefore this is 7/4 time. What I love is Pau's transitions into and out of the 7/4 passages, and her ability to do do fills in 7/4 that are completely accessible to non musicians - they don't feel anything awkward or jittery about the fills. Everthing seems smooth and natural to the everage listener.
@@jameschisholm7131 Very true. But, Paulina herself said it was 7/8 time. Maybe she misspoke or maybe they wrote the sheet music differently. And the last two measures are tricky to count.
That's weird. It's a little tricky at the end because the last time through the riff finishes on the 1 of the first 4/4 bar coming out of the 7/4 section instead of on 7 as it does the previous times, so I know some people think the 7/4 section finishes earlier than it actually does. But I'm surprised Pau said that. The main riff is 7 beats. I suppose they could've written the riff over 2 bars of 7/8 instead of 1 bar of 7/4, but that does seem counterintuitive. Oh well, it's their song, so I guess they can transcribe it in whatever format they want. Lol.

They have the song turned up to 10 and then the lights go red and they turn it up to 11 . . . 12. . . 13. . . 14 and then the meter melts down.
I'm glad that I have been following these great young ladies long enough to have watched them grow and Evolve into what they are today. Watching them go from the covers in their basement while ALE and Pau still hadn't hit their teens to now. They have grown and evolved into a great group, not just a great 3 piece or girl band but just a great band. The only reason for them to cover a song now is like they did with Enter Sandman, and that is that they want to do it and it's to respect one of their hero's.
This has been my favorite since it came out in the Summer. You should check out the live version from their Rockville concert- the 5k+ crowd went nuts during this song 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for reacting!

Welcome to the top of the food chain. These ladies are off the hook. I was looking to see if they had to unplug the girls after this track because they are fire. As others have said do yourself a favor and watch the live version. The Warning never lets you down.

Curious as to why it’s been posted on their 3 releases there they mentioned MC Capital Records. Yours is the first I’ve seen mentioned it’s in Monterrey. When their first MayDay song was posted from there last July, I said it looks like they’ve got a new Cave. Multiple replies & their likes indicated Capital Records, Mexico City. It’s on The Warnings US FB page, addressed specifically to my comment, so apologies for passing on bad info fed to me

Love this song from start to finish! It's like being on a roller coaster as you climb your way to the top, then pause, and wait for the big adrenalin filled drop. Doesn't disappoint!
It's great to see these girls get the recognition they deserve, if you want to check out more promising bands from Mexico, I'd recommend Zero Killed (feat. Björn Speed Strid) by SENSE OF NOISE, heavier but very melodic, and still very well produced and with a lot of potential.

As a musician I love this Band
It's an odd time signature, I think it was said to be 7/8. Not a musician, I can barely notice time signatures unless it's really out there like Pink Floyd's Money. For the next one I suggest the first single released from the Mayday EP, Choke. Try the live session version because the official music video still tends to get blocked.

The time changes r 4/8 to 7/8 to 4/8 to 7/8 to 4/4 halftime to 4/8 to 7/8. I think that's right. TWA correct me if I have it wrong.
Ale is playing a Spector(sp) custom 5-string bass. Ale is getting an signature bass supposed to be released soon. It is 7/8 time.
I think part of the full sound is because the bass line is kinda like a rhythm guitar. Very active bass line.
You should review some of their studio vs live performances one right after the other, would be great.
