Very educational Freddie. I always had thought that the term dagger style referred to what I here a lot of people refer to as "old school" or "traditional" style, with them then usually referencing Von Dutch or someone from the 50's. Stuff in that style, to me, doesn't always resemble a dagger, but I can see that. I had assumed that the term came from the name of the dagger style brushes. That is a very cool piece by the way.

I thought the same thing.. but nobody uses daggers. They are extremely rare to be seen in use.

I’m new to your channel and Subscribed ! I’m a tattoo artist/graphic designer here in Oxnard, Ca. I’ve always been hesitant about pinstriping although I specialize in Script/Calligraphy Lettering… but you’ve made me pull the trigger. What are your preferred brushes for fineline script lettering to scrolling ? If there’s a video you made based on my questions can you link me to the video?

I have a few videos that actually somewhat touch on those Topics. But generally I like Steve kafka's scroll brushes and he does have some great lettering quills. I don't have a preference for lettering brushes yet because I don't do enough to understand it completely

I was working as a sound engineer and was starting to get bored from doing that so I was looking for a new outlet. And I found a group on Facebook called pinstripers garage that kind of led me into the art

@@villapinstriping what is your preferred Mack brush to use for fine lines but also produce thick lines when applying pressure? I’m sure one can adapt to a specific… of course with scroll brushes preferably
