  • In this video I share my experience and results shooting Harman Phoenix 200. I'm still new to shooting film photography so take my opinions with a grain of salt. I shot this roll at 100 as opposed to the 200 box speed for all but one photo. This roll of Phoenix 200 was also shot using my canon T50.

    Thanks for watching guys! Let me know how the audio is in this video, I tried something new in an attempt to make sure my videos are loud enough with youtube's compression. Just want to make sure I'm getting the quality right in these videos! ALSO PLEASE IGNORE MY DYING PLANT

    Love the music. Very soothing and calming. I have yet to try this film. I am a fan of saturated film. The reason Kodak Ektar is my favorite film. It does turn blue in the shadows though but the reason I schoot film is the unpredictability and uncontrollable results.

      Highly recommend giving it a go! Maybe I should try some Ektar myself

    I love this film. I’m on my 6th roll. It does nature really well. Greens and browns. The grain is golf ball size but still looks good. Keep up the good work 👍

    awesome video man consider me subscribed. I really enjoyed shooting phoenix. I thought the colors were really cool and just helped me experiment a bit more and find different angles I don't usually shoot, I'm hoping to get another roll soon.

      Thank you dude! It was definitely cool to try out but I think I'll stick to some other film stocks 🤣

    Awesome video. Curious what you used to scan these? Heard some people have had more success on Noritsu vs frontier and it brings some of the warm tone down to a more reasonable colour grade.

      I had these processed at a film lab called Bellows in Chicago, I believe the scanner is the Fuji SP 3000 from what I remember

    really appreciate this review and video, but ultimately, from what i've gathered, it seems like you're comparing an experimental film stock to something that established.
    like yeah, it's not gonna look like "normal" film. isn't that the whole point of experimental film.
    did i miss something in the comparison?

    • @Topher_wigums
      @Topher_wigums  Před 13 dny

      I only really compared the two because I had also shot the same frame with a different roll and just thought it might be interesting! Wasn't trying to say anything specifically with the comparison, so no you didn't miss anything hahaha
