I just love the way Brian, back then, during the 'laddish' British 90's, with Oasis being fucking everywhere, there was Brian, not giving a shit, openly admitting to being bisexual, wearing make-up, being himself, being authentic, and just oozing confidence...I missed the Placebo boat back in the 90's, but thankfully a mate got me into them, first track he played me was 'Special K'...loved it...and loved 'em ever since, and got so much respect for Brian... he's genuine, he's true to himself, and he's bloody intelligent...was shocked at how sharp and intelligent Brian was when I checked out old and new interviews on YT...

This is THE best song ever!! I must have heard around twenty live versions and every one is quite different, all the changes make the song give me the same feeling of awe each time I watch a new version, never get bored with listening to the same song over and over....they all give something new to enjoy. You can hear Brian's guitar part more clearly than the other versions I've heard .
Another one of those bands that are so much better live than in the studio. Awesome band. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

being more of a 90's punk I never took a liking to Placebo back then, often saw them in kerrang! and always thought they looked (and sounded from what little i had heard) a bit pretentious. Then I got dragged out to a gig where they played around 2004 - and I quickly realized how wrong I had been. Great band! so that'll teach me to judge a book by its cover! ^This particular song is nothing short of genius.

@@JP-ch8es Yeah, same, I remember seeing a review of Placebo's demo in a music magazine back in the mid 90's - the reviewer wasn't impressed by the singer's nasal whine. Not really harmed their career since though!

I have a confession to make. I only know of this song because of the movie Cruel Intentions. Every time I hear this song, that's what I associate it with. Lol. I was barely a teen, and I had Ryan Philippe pics all on my walls. I will say since growing up, I've heard many more of their songs, and I love them. Just a tad ashamed that my younger self didn't appreciate music outside of Britney Spears, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys etc. ( At 34 years old, I still love Ryan Philippe, just no pics on my walls. Lol.)

Do you remember how mad TFI Friday was? People just basically boozing on TV on a Friday Afternoon.
If the 90s could be summed up in 1 show it would be TFI Friday. Absolute mad chaotic energy and their choice of music acts was 2nd to none.
