I first heard this song on the intro to the movie Cruel Intentions. I bought the album soon after. I love it.
There's such a feeling of simplicity to it: the minimalistic lyrics, the strings, the pared down melody, Brian's subtle harmonic changes... It makes it sound so pure and untethered, like it's floating in a timeless place.
Most underrated band of all time? This tune is simply a masterpiece.....

I don’t know what it is about Placebos lyrics that I think is so unique and special...but there’s always been a nice twist to them I couldn’t find in any other music. My mom listened to Placebo back in the day and I almost forgot it, until they played this song on the radio. I immediately recalled Brian’s voice because it’s so nostalgic to me :)

Im 17 and have only recently seen cruel intentions (obviously i had no idea about it when it first came out) and i love the movie. But the opening track really got me so i did a lot of searching and finally found the song. I look forward to sampling the rest of Placebo's music, that movie had a good soundtrack really feeling this song
