It always amazes me hearing that quality of sound and play LIVE, with only 3 guys on stage ! They are awesome performers in the pantheon of ROCK ! (and still living ^^)

@@batzeth Bill plays guitar, bass and keys, depending on the song and what Brian and Stefan want to play. He's always filling the gaps and is essential to the band. You can see him in some of their live videos.

Amazing concert and amazing crowd with no smartphones...
JB, We saw Placebo @De Montfort Hall, Leicester UK, 29-11-2022 @7.00pm, tickets cost £39.50 each, absolutely money well spent, we drove there cost £20 in petrol there and back, we couldn't get a parking space in all the car parks, so parked at the bottom of a one way street the road was just across from the hall, took us 5 minutes to walk across to the hall, it was a perfect performance from Brian and Stefan, I have so much love for these two guys I can't put into words( even Steve Hewitt my favourite Placebo drums player), I still have the tickets and my paper bracelet they put on your wrist at the doors before you go in, I shall treasure these items they are a reminder of one of the if not the best nights of my life, shall definitely be seeing another Placebo concert 🎸🥁🎤

Why am I only seeing this now? Made me laugh Brian strutting along the audience pointing at people and calling them an “orifice” during Slacker Bitch. They’re all like “Merci Brian” I would’ve been the same if I’d been there. That one person who got “Yeah you baby, you’re an orifice.” I’d have died. 😂😍
I was looking through the comments to see if anyone mentioned this. I used to have a cassette tape of this gig back in the 90’s and even since then I could never work out what he was saying. So after about 2 and a half decades you have solved this mystery for me. 😆
@@Russell1982 I’m glad to be of help. Sometimes I feel his singing isn’t as clear on purpose so that he can keep us guessing the lyrics. They do love to improvise as well to keep us on our toes.
@@lealu83 yeah I think you’re probably right. I remember reading somewhere that they didn’t print the lyrics on their album covers at first because they wanted people to focus on the music so makes sense that he’d try to almost disguise the lyrics. I mean, I spent 23 years thinking he sang “dog boy, need your whore” in ask for answers. Just found out it’s apparently “dog boy, media whore” haha.
Steve Hewitts drumming during Evil Dildo as a prime example is exactly the reason why they should never have evicted him from the band.

I owned the VHS and rehearsed countless hours trying to mimic Brian and Stefan's play with my cheap electric guitar plugged in a cheap speaker. I bought a blue Jaguar because of this video. My favorite live of Placebo, by far. Thanks for uploading!

Unbelievable performance. Three people with an instrument. Nowadays that’s hardly accepted, only at ‘very alternative’ festivals. Regular ‘alternative’ festivals would require at least 1 keyboard, 2 Guitars and a back track :)

God knows why but even after years of listening to placebo I always thought they were American. Think it’s Brian’s voice. Sounds very American twangy. Awesome band tho. So much better live than recorded. . Been into these since late 90’s 👌✌️🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
His mom is Scottish, dad is American and he was born in Belgium...
But he went to an American highschool in Luxembourg, so it's quite possible that he picked up the accent from there.
