Welcome to my VERY FIRST bible study! I'm so excited you're here!!
We are diving into the book of Micah, which is a very uncommonly talked about book of the Bible so I hope this brings clarity and refreshes you to get into some of these less common Old Testament books!

This was a nice overview. Simple and digestible.
A post came up that you were doing Micah 5 and I just started Micah today. Seriously. So, I went to your channel and hunted down the first chapter. You did well. I especially liked how you ended it, saying God sends His prophets because He doesn't want to pour our His wrath (and then we're too rebellious anyway). The book before this was Jonah, and if you read the whole story this was God's point. He sent Jonah to warn Nineveh of distruction, Nineveh repented, God showed His mercy, and Jonah got upset because God showed them mercy. That was why He was going the other direction, not becaues he was afraid for his life, as is often taught. I think Jonah is in there to show Israel and Judah that just because wrath is predicted against them, if they would truly repent God would hold back His judgment. Also, it shows that because they did not repent, what could have been if they did. There were some who understood and repented in their hearts. Although the nations were taken away into captivity these stayed true to the Lord where they were, and they prepared His people for when they would be returned to their land. Excellent study.

Thank you for this study. A friend of mine introduced Micah 7:18 which starts with "Who is a God like you...". Since hearing that verse I have set out to study the book of Micah. Your intro starting off with an explanation of Micha's name gave me so much context. Thank you 😇

I really loved this!! I heard God speaking to me to read Micah and this really did help me a lot, this showed me how much God really does hate sin, and even though I don't sin as much as I used to, I know there are still corrections I need to make! TYSM

Excellent video and I do think that the minor prophets get treated like the book of Revelation. To many they exist but are rarely read through and sought to be understood. Also, as you go through reading, see not only how they applied to the times Israel/Judah went through but also they are a foreshadowing of what comes next (if that makes sense)

in future, can you say which version of the Bible you reading from? It's annoying to listen to you when reading from a different version.
