Whilst I wasn't a fan of the TV adaption of Foundation, I do recall the artwork and thinking how well it complemented the Emperors' world of Trantor. Really cool to see that you did that. Some really impressive swords too. Hope more work comes your way. Thanks for posting. Cheers.
Great art pieces out there! Thanks for sharing Sean, really interesting to see cool application of your knowledge. Would be interesting to get an idea of how much time you usually allocate on props like swords (3-6 hours or few days to think thru its convenience/small or useful details, pattern etc).
Thanks! Yeah, the School for Good and Evil swords were generally a day or so each, but that was working to no design, so playing around a bit. If I'd been working to a design I doubt many would take more than a few hours, I'd say you would probably do 2 or 3 or so a day if that were the case as they're fairly simple. The Northman sword had to be exact recreations of Viking swords as per photographic reference of museum pieces, so they were a few days each. The details had to be exact matches, and sometimes even finding the reference was challenging, or trying to decipher details through centuries of rust and decay.
A Man of many talents!
Thanks Jeff!
